There are many false prophets telling people to follow the ways of the world right now. My intent is to direct people to the Word of God, who came in the flesh and saved us from our sins. He is the only hope we need.

Re: Sununu … Along With The Press, The Dems, And The RINOs … Politicize the Death of Dick Hinch.

Dick Hinch was a warm and kind man and a devoted public servant. He deserves to be honored for his life and service to this state. This is a time of mourning for us all as we work through the loss of a true leader who worked to unite people and truly listen to their points of view. It will be very difficult to find anyone who will be as good at bringing all of the factions of the House together.

While I’m not surprised by the media seizing an opportunity to continue its propaganda, I am extremely saddened by the governor’s indiscretion and lack of leadership, the attorney general’s mischaracterization of the truth by omission, and Rep. Bill Marsh’s ignorant hatred blaming other people for something they scientifically have no control over. Using a man’s tragic death to support a political point is not only classless, it’s downright disgusting and has no place in enlightened public discourse.

#rebuildNH #reopenNH

Re: We Need a New Declaration of Independence

That would make a great political sign for tomorrow's event! Particularly in a school with my kids, but in any school, I'd take my chances with that 5'4" 110 pound 9th grade English teacher being armed and potentially stopping the mass murder. Although, I would suggest she buy a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact, because the gun is deadly accurate and will make it more likely for her to shoot the lunatic aggressor in the face and stop the mayhem. She'd be a hero. Thanks Bill Tucker for spreading the word to teachers reading this on your page. Here's my take on being a Free Stater:

While I wrote this linked article (http://amanuse.rlcnh.org/20... a long time ago, it wasn't before the 2010 election. At the same time, I was very open about my intent about what I planned to do when I got elected,
and I did just about exactly what I promised. No one can honestly claim I hid anything. If anyone asked me whether I was a Free Stater, and some did, I said "yes." Why wouldn't I? It's absolutely not something I've ever hidden, which is why Rep. Porter was so sure that I am one.

At the same time, it's not something I've ever felt a need to advertise, because, to me, a Free Stater is someone who lives in another state and plans to come here. Once moving here, we are no longer Free Staters. We are NH citizens.

In fact, the first home I ever owned is my current home in Derry. It is the first land I've ever owned in my life. There is no doubt that I am nothing other than full-blown New Hampshire resident, and have been since June 2007 when I signed my mortgage. I could honestly say that I'm probably more a citizen of New Hampshire now than I ever was a New York citizen, where I'm from. I was born, grew up and lived with my parents in New York and never had any responsibility there to speak of. It was my parents' home, not mine. My first house was in New Hampshire.

Still, per Seth's point, yeah, I'm still a free stater at heart. I believe in limited government, free markets, personal responsibility and individual liberty. Isn't that what this country was supposed to be be about? Isn't that what this state was supposed to be about? Do I really need to defend my desire to see us preserve our heritage and our liberty? Is that something that's now considered scary to people? If so, then we don't live in America anymore and we need to get it back. That's what I'm about, and I've never hid it from anyone.

Re: http://www.miscellanyblue.com/post/17430329949

Considering something for debate and actually doing it are different, and I apologized for anyone who was hurt by my suggestion. Statehouse

This article, "Rumblings could lead to big changes...,"
did not include quotations from anyone on the other side of this
discussion, and it therefore missed the whole story. The conservatives,
libertarians and independents who sent the current Legislature to office
are very disappointed by how many good limited government, individual
liberty, personal responsibility and free enterprise bills are not
passing through, and many people I speak to don't believe the budget
cuts went far enough. Many of these people complaining that Republicans
haven't gone far enough are also planning to primary some of the weaker,
more Democratic Republicans, who really don't understand what it means
to be fiscally conservative despite their claims. This next election
could result in a more Jeffersonian Legislature than the current one,
and that would be a good thing.

When Republicans promised they would cut the size of government, that
specifically meant eliminating public sector jobs that were redundant or
beyond the scope of what government should be doing. What Republicans
have done was expected. But Republicans need to do more to ensure our
economy recovers and the people of New Hampshire do not fall into a
double-dip recession at the hands of a big spending government.
Conservative and libertarian Republicans will ensure this does not
happen.

The people threw out the progressive Democrats and Republicans in 2010
specifically because of their spend-then-tax policies, which were beyond
irresponsible. In fact, Republicans lost to Democrats in 2006 because
Republicans were getting too fast and loose with other people's money.
The people gave Republicans another shot to get things right in 2010,
after Democrats spent four years increasing the speed of government
wastefulness. I think the people will be pleased with the results of
their 2010-2012 Legislature.

To reverse the spending that took place over that Democrats' tenure and
break even this year was simply the responsible thing to do, but it took
a lot of work due to the loss of one-time stimulus funds foolishly sent
our way by the Washington Democrats and foolishly accepted by the New
Hampshire Democrats. We could have and should have done more, and we
will try to do so next term, but it was important to stop the bleeding
first. Still, I know of many people on our side of the coin who are
"rumbling" that our responsible budget should have gone further, and
should have cut out unnecessary government programs to the point that we
could extend a tax cut to businesses in order to further stimulate the
economy and private sector job creation. I too am disappointed that we
so far have been unable to cut meaningful taxes, but there is more work
still to do and I know we will do it.

If the press is planning to blow out of proportion dissent from the
Democratic Party, which was handily defeated for its irresponsible
ideas, then of course it will appear like there is a lot of
dissatisfaction out there from people who want to spend more money that
isn't theirs. But from those whose money Republicans have protected this
term, we have heard a lot of gratitude--not that doing our jobs the
right way deserves any, because we are public servants after all.
Government should always be responsible to the people and should make
sure it is protecting the basic rights of all citizens, who are its
masters. At the same time, it should never pick winners and losers in a
fixed marketplace and subsidize dependency. That's what we're up
against. Regardless, the good people of New Hampshire have got nothing
other than responsible government from Republicans this year, despite
the loud cacophony from those Democratic and progressive Republican
policy makers whose policy was already rejected by voters and will be
again.

The people should know that our State Legislature functions in a way
that allows any of its 424 members to introduce any bill of his or her
choosing, and every bill must be voted on by the Legislature. Naturally,
some pretty out-there ideas come up for a vote. That's what freedom is
all about. The crazier bills are always handily rejected, and that's
what the wisdom of a larger group of legislators is all about. The
system was designed beautifully. The only problem with the system is
that small group of detractors who attempts to blow things out of
proportion and blame a whole group of people for the ideas of a few.
Would these complainers prefer there was no right to discuss new ideas?
It sure seems that way. I know that Republicans would rather all ideas
be discussed, because thinking outside the box is what gets things done
more efficiently and more effectively. Sometimes, a good idea comes to
the table that has never been considered before, and that's when true
progress is made.

Unfortunately, the so-called "progressive" Democrats and Republicans are
really more regressive than anything else. They'd prefer we returned to
the era when government was the answer to everyone's problems, the type
of government we had under King George. I remember learning in school
about a group of men and women who rebelled against that form of
government, and established a new government that was tied down by a
constitution to the people. The Republicans in office today are finally a
group of people who are living up to the traditions of our great state
and nation. We are the true progressive thinkers who believe that
individuals who are free to pursue their own dreams and live their own
lives can produce more happiness for more people than individuals under
the guidance and dependency of government. It worked for us once upon a
time. Change is slow, but the current Republicans are trying to restore
America and New Hampshire to the way it was always supposed to be. We
trust the people are noticing.

Sincerely,
ANDREW J. Hawkins, Stadtman,
MacKenzie and their Democratic friends in the State House are doing a
good job making sure we don't have the needed stability with all of
their rancorous hype. The people of this great state should not stand
for such disruptive, dysfunctional politics. They should send a message
to the Democratic Party to be quiet. The Democrats had their turn, and
they almost destroyed the state. The Republicans are just now cleaning
up the mess.

Job creation to Hawkins and Stadtman means a bigger
government and higher taxes. It means taxing you so that they can hire
10 more people in the Department of Labor to find new ways to fine
productive businesses or to hire 10 more people in Health and Human
Services to move the bar up on who is dependent on their neighbors to
get by. That's not what job creation means in a free society.

Jobs
are created in the private sector, and the only thing government can do
is get out of the way. Republicans are in the process of reducing the
size of government, reducing the number of onerous regulations, lowering
spending and lowering taxes, and if the good people will simply follow
through on their commitment to these ideals through the 2012 elections,
they will see jobs created through private industry and new private
development. The people should remember how
Democrats imposed one new onerous regulation after another, one new fee
after another, one new tax hike after another, crippling the people's
limited ability to get by in a bad economy. The people threw Democrats
out of office in a gigantic wave of pro-Republican sentiment. This just scratches the surface of what this president has done. So, when you hear Kimball say if Obama is reelected, our warriors will have died in vain, that is not far off from the truth. If Obama is reelected, there will be no freedom left in the United States, so any claim that the military is "fighting for our freedom" will ring hollow. Obama must be defeated to preserve what's left of our freedom and restore what we once had. Thanks to Jack Kimball for speaking boldly what must be said.

Re: Guinta, Shea-Porter backers spar over cash

Well, I'm not one for collusion between politics and business, but I think I can safely say that Cigna Insurance and Frank Guinta might be saying some of the same things because what they are saying is the truth. It isn't parroting if you speak the truth, it's simply speaking the truth.

The healthcare plan that Carol Shea-Porter supports is unconstitutional and Marxist in nature. It has NO PLACE in a free country that gives equal opportunities to all people to better their lot in life. Carol Shea-Porter wants to hold down productive people and promote sloth and dependence, all in the name of caring. You know what, the doctors at the hospital are the people who dedicated their life to caring for people, and you know what, they should be paid for their work. Government does not care for anyone, it simply wants control over them.

It's interesting that your article buried Carol Shea-Porter's hypocrisy and omitted the fact that the health care bills pending in Congress include language that give huge benefits and paybacks to the very unions, most notably the SEIU, who are supporting the Democrats.

I'm sorry, but the criticism against Guinta is bunk. The criticism against Carol Shea-Porter should be stronger. Get rid of her in 2010 and replace her with a principled man who speaks the truth. Frank Guinta for Congress!

Re: Craigslist ad indisputable evidence that pro-Obama demonstrators are fake

Read the full article here: http://www.manuse.com/posts...

Re: What We Are and What We Aren’t

Very nicely said. Personally, I feel that the body and soul are inseparable in life; they are one in the same. Yet, I also believe as part of my Christian faith that the soul is the part of us that is eternal. I also believe that some of us will live eternally on Earth, body and soul, when the time comes.

Re: President's Portsmouth Town Hall meeting was fake

Link to the article here: http://www.manuse.com/posts...

Re: Footage: Some recent TEA Party Events in New Hampshire

Access the article and videos here: http://www.manuse.com/posts...

Re: Free State Project Featured in Stars & Stripes

I think you're assuming I disagree with you. I am pretty much close to full agreement with you. I was just commenting on what was likely the purpose of including the article in the publication.

I believe the military is strictly for defense of our sovereign land, and that's it. In times of peace, there is little need for a standing army. Readiness, however, is necessary to prevent the aggressions of other standing armies. I think to advocate for no readiness is suicide.

Re: Free State Project Featured in Stars & Stripes

The difference is that the purpose of the military is constitutional, while public schools may not be, and government run health care is not.

Re: Free State Project Featured in Stars & Stripes

There is a difference between the stated purpose of something and the actual effect of something. When you stop and think, you realize that both parties are taking us down the road to an ever-expanding, socialistic government that owns and manages the means of production. We're not there yet, but that's where we're headed under both parties.

President George W. Bush said: "I've abandoned free market principles to save the free market system. President Barack Hussein Obama said: "When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." Both are guilty of increasing government control over our lives and decreasing our individual liberties.

The truth is, the people who produce wealth own it, and that goes for the guy or gal flipping burgers all the way up to the guy or gal on the board of Exxon-Mobil. The government should step in only to make sure everyone follows the rules, which are better known as the law. It is time for We the People to redirect the Republican and Democratic parties so that both of their agendas are grounded in the constitution.

Source: National Center for Constitutional Studies, The real political scale (pictured on the left courtesy of the National Center for Constitutional Studies' book, "The 5,000 Year Leap"), is one that slides from tyranny to anarchy. The Republic set up by the Founders was right in the middle of the scale, where the law, not men, is king. The Founders understood this scale.

In the United States, every man and every woman is equal under the law, regardless of his or her race, religion, sex or any other artificial label the media-government complex uses to divide us. (See the 14th and 15th amendments). We are Americans!

Just like we are equal under the law, so too our rights can be violated equally under the law. Racism and sexism as perceptions are further used to divide us and keep us from controlling our own destiny as individuals and as a nation.

When the government, or anyone, violates an individual's rights, don't shout "racism" or "sexism" or anything along those lines. That's what the power brokers want us to do. In reality, it is now as good as crying wolf. What we as Americans should do instead is shout "tyranny" or "injustice" when the facts align with such a conclusion, and we should stand together as Americans to defend individual rights under the law.

It's time we take our country back. It's time for We the People to restore the chains on our government that were established by the constitution. It is time for us to strip power from those individuals who are our equals, but position themselves as our superiors and violate the constitution as their regular course. It is time for us to prosecute these scoundrels under the law for their violations of our rights.

No longer can we accept Democratic or Republican candidates for any level office who think government is the answer and that the constitution is a dated document that should be ignored. It is time for us to find candidates who understand and honor our constitution. We need to find these candidates now to run as Democrats and Republicans; we need to identify them and promote them now so they can be sure to receive the party nominations in time for the 2010 midterm election and the 2012 general election. Then we need to vote them into office. Americans: it is time to get busy. We need to take our country back.
