Yes. The sample was shaken. I always do that when there are shimmer particles. It's a nice purplish pink with copper, if I only liked pink. I appreciate the offer to help. It's one of the reasons I love Goulet Pen Co. Always amazing customer service.

Here's a photo of my ink swatch. With the flash it makes it look brighter than what it really is, but the hue of the color is correct.

I bought a sample of this but I feel like I got a different ink than what's pictured. I wouldn't call it purple at all. It's more like a fuchsia. It's pretty, I guess, but not what I expected and definitely a let down. It's definitely nothing like J. Herbin Amethyste de l'Oural, aside from the fact that they both contain shimmer particles. I can't speak for the other two inks listed.

I second the idea I've seen of a shimmering/sheening/glittery theme.

Also, what about a calligraphy theme featuring pilot parallels, stub/italic nibs, flex pens, etc.?

I'd love any and all of it but I've always loved the history and Romanticism of sealing wax. The coral color would probably be my favorite.

What's the water resistance of shimmertastic inks? I always worry about that with all my inks. Like what if they accidentally get wet? Have you done any drip tests with them?

I wanted to mention that Dropbox has frozen up two times since using it on my Windows computer, making it impossible to use the Stand By, Hibernate, or even the Shut Down function until I force quit the Dropbox application. The two times it happened were a bit annoying, but it's something that I will deal with given the otherwise great functionality of Dropbox.

This is Joe's wife, and I just wanted to say that I do have a two complaints regarding Sandboxie, although they are, IMO, minor ones. The first is that it seems to take Firefox a bit longer to start up than it used to. The other is that I recently updated one of my Firefox plugins and now when I try to open up Firefox, a window pops up saying that a certain file is too large to open in the Sandbox. As a result, I have to close the file, making my plug-in no longer available. Since using Sandboxie, I've yet to use Firefox outside of Sandboxie, but I assume that if I did, I would be able to make use of the plug-in like before.

The only movies that I can think of, for now, are "Great Expectations" and "Closer."

As far as books, "East of Eden" and "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck. The two best books of all time, IMO. Another one might be "The Great Pretender" by Millenia Black; It's not a wonderfully written book, but it had the right themes/aspects that I like.

Music... there are probably more, but right now all I can think of are "Apologize" by OneRepublic and "Say" by John Mayer.

I'm not sure I can accurately describe it, but I think that in most cases, when something really affects me, it has to do with the screwed up relationships between people who SAY they like each other, but their actions say otherwise. How someone can love a person, yet still be capable of ripping out that loved one's heart... and then the ripple effect of that. Does that make sense?
