Samsung has a pretty good Tips app with video previews showing exactly how the user can experience the features. Your article would be misleading if it fails to take note of this app.

At Rs.15 per song, Google Play Music is almost 50% more expensive than one of India's biggest carrier Airtel's Wynk Music, which offers the songs for Rs.10. I was expecting Google to undercut all the existing players in the market.

Installed Prune & Framed. Both offer to hook into Google Play Games, but signing into Google Play Games always fails. Not able to unlock any achievement or any of the social features tied to Play Games.
Anyone found a way to get that connection working?

I bricked my Chinese variant of D802T after trying to update the SW using the LG PC Suite. Can't get past the LG boot logo, though FastBoot seems to be working. Tried to go through the comments, but don't think anybody managed to find a solution to the D802T issues. Anything I missed?

1. WhatsApp for Windows Phone has been pulled from the store due to a serious bug, and will be available for download again soon.

2. Your Samsung Galaxy Note used to run Android whereas the Lumia runs Windows Phone. Quite a lot of the games available on Android are not yet available on Windows Phone.

If I have to add my two cents of it, then except for point no. 2, all the other points are valid for the Note II as well. In fact, it even does better on point no. 6 with a customised single handed mode for some of the most used activities.
Which makes me think you would have loved a phablet long back had you used a premium one like the 1520 earlier :)

All valid points against the metal smartphones. I face the temperature issues as well. But all said and done, having been a former N8 user myself, and a current Lumia 925 users, I would have to chip in that despite the shortcomings you have stated, I would love continuing with these metal phones in the future as well.

I, for one, absolutely hate the cases. I use my phones without a case, while giving them their share of drops & falls. And for some reason, I love the dents & chips the metal phones get over time. I have seen friends whose non-metallic phones get cracks after their drops. I would take dents & chips over cracks any day.

Also, I jut love how the metal phones feel in the hands!

Just to clear the confusion regarding the start screen, it is part of the intro video, which includes third party live tile apps. This is not related to WP 8.1 :)
