Im so sorry to hear that your son has been sucked into this very twisted justice system. There are quite a few of us who once believed that if a person was innocent we could surely prove it in a court of law. What a rude awakening we've had when prosecutors lied in court and withheld evidence, police "lost" evidence and hospital personnel falsified reports all to get a conviction no matter what the cost to an innocent individual and their family. I never would have believed that something like that could happen until it happened to us. Now we are organizing a group to begin a movement to right the many wrongs done to us and to exact some accountability for those who are consistently denying us our Constitutional Rights by their unconscionable acts. You can find our group on Facebook under "National Coalition for Criminal Justice Reform". It is still in the organizational stage but with everyone's suggestions and willingness to join in this fight we will hopefully be able to bring some of our wrongfully convicted home.

Yes, there is case after case of false allegation and wrongful convictions. The falsely accused having to endure years, even LIFE behind prison walls. I suggest that you, Ms. Wood and Jeff Johnson, the cartoonist, purchase and view the documentary "Witch Hunt" narrated by Sean Penn. Google in "Pro Libertate:A Crime of Cowardice: The Unjust Imprisonment of Scott Molen" and "Pro Libertate: Accusers as "victims" A Case Study". I further suggest that you also go to the many websites dedicated to bringing light to wrongful convictions. In other words, Ms. Woods, education is the key. It is obvious that neither you nor Mr Johnson are educated on the subject of sex offender registry, false allegations and wrongful convictions. I also suggest that you DO educate yourselves before publishing a very blatant form of a hate crime.

Ms Wood, I believe that the publishing of a "cartoon" which advocates lynching "sex offenders" is a hate crime in and of itself. I also believe that you, the cartoonist and anyone else who is responsible for the publishing of this material should be held responsible and investigated by the FBI as perpetrators of a HATE CRIME. Once again, shame on the Kirkland Reporter, Ms Wood and Mr. Jeff Johnson. It is thoughtlessness and insensitivity like this that gets people killed...some of them innocent. Can you live with that???

I am appalled that the Kirkland Reporter would publish a cartoon of this type. May I suggest that you google in "Salem Witch Hunt" and read about the hysteria that cost many innocent people their lives all because of people just like you. What is your motive Mr. Johnson for dipicting a noose with the words "sex predator". You are no better than Hitler himself. You are very obviously ignorant of sex offender laws and those who have found themselves on it because of a vindictive ex, an angry child, a jilted lover, etc etc....and I suggest you educate yourselves.In my opinion your dipiction of a noose and the newspaper's allowing this is a hate crime in and of itself. Shame on you.
