A few whole peppercorns if you have them. Simmer for a few hours strain and throw it in the freezer (an old ice cube tray works) and you have chicken stock to replace that canned/tetra pack broth

Re: The Getup: Comfortable Errands in Fall

the links are now working for me. Ben Affleck

I don't have an issue with Affleck directing. The real questions is who is writing? As IMO that's one thing that made whedon's film enjoyable. In addition, because of WB/DC's short sighted rejection of creating a universe, they won't have the buildup to the justice league film that marvel had. Which disappoints me because I was always a dc over marvel guy.

Re: The Legend of Korra: Not The Last Airbender (And That’s Good)

Actually, Amon's face was behind the anti-bender protester we see when Korra first arrives in Republic city. I first felt patriotic a long time ago. But the issue I think you are missing here is that it isn't that these people weren't moved but that they felt their opinions didn't matter, that their actions had no consequence. The last 8 years reinforced that for me. So instead of making you angrier and more motivated, it made one angrier and more disenfranchised. The last year or so has changed that. So in the past when Act 1 passed I would have accepted that this is the way things are and shrugged it off. But now, in the climate of hope, in the atmosphere of elections not getting stolen, we plan on fighting this act.

Or as i said to my co-conspirator on hope today: "We used to feel government was the enemy. But now, we understand that we have a voice in government. We realize that the true enemy is apathy. That non-action is the true enemy. That our very actions are political and that our politics do matter"

Re: barely web 1.0

120 is probably the lowest number I have ever printed for an event.
