I'm not smart enough to know how to even start.

Re: Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

I don't think people should be downvoting this, you're not really insulting anyone's tastes.

Now as to why people like this kind of art. There are several reasons. At the most basic level: it's just pretty. People like the wild moving colors and shapes, it's just kind of fun to look at and that part can't really be explained by anything other than personal tastes. Same as something like "why do you like the taste of strawberries?" The answer is "I don't know, I just do".

Now the 2nd and more tangible reason is the messy art often tries to portray emotions, feelings, ideas, etc abstractly in the form of art. Some people won't "get" what the artist is describing, some people will immediately "feel" what the art is trying to convey. It's not a difference of intelligence or knowledge, it's just what resonates with different people. And when you have "pretty" art that also resonates with you and you understand the emotions or ideas that are behind it, if you couple that with a story and characters that have similar emotions and ideas, it's guaranteed to be a hit with at least some people. And there are some artists/writers who do this in such a way that many many people can understand and "feel" it without any explanation, and Masaaki Yuasa is one of those people.

And just a side note, I think "modern art" that people have a low tolerance for is different from this. A lot of modern art is the "messy art" that doesn't necessarily make sense, but not paired with a clear idea of what it's supposed to mean. Its meaning is completely up for interpretation, which doesn't vibe with a lot of people. Whereas vivid, moving art in the form of animation paired with a story and characters is much easier to identify with and grasp the meaning of.

Sorry if some of that rambled on, I hope I could provide at least a little insight into this style of animation for you.

Re: Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

Man, you're just really on a crusade against this anime

Re: Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

I don't see your comment providing any valuable discussion either.

Re: Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!

(that's the joke)

Re: HorribleSubs

Ah okay. The easiest in my opinion would be the chromecast ultra, which connects to your phone where you already have all your accounts signed in and you already know how to navigate. It even has any net support which works well with this TV.

Edit: it also has HDR support.

Re: http://rickrolldb.com/entries/2

lol

Re: http://rickrolldb.com/entries/2

rick astley.
