I don't understand @CR45H; You want Google to release a phone, and you don't want or need the extras that come with the Pro, and you don't want them to have a second phone available for people like you who likely want a capable phone though don't need all the features and specs of the Pro version? 🙃 Or you just take issue with Google calling them both "Pixel 6" and would be fine with it if they had different names or were marketed in different product lines? 🙃

My Pixel 2 XL is exhibiting very strange screen/burn issues, including burned sides/corners, and an awful strobe flashing of the full screen with brightest white flashes (pretty sure it's caused physical damage to my eye cells). That was by day 1.5. Days 2 and 3 have had odd long stretches that almost seem all normal, and then the symptoms show up again. Replacement is expected in 2-3 more days. I just want this phone working properly and reliably. And not spend my time reporting issues and setting up new devices more than once which was very painful enough.
My Pixel XL didn't have any screen issues and I used it plenty.

When you said "performance" I thought you were referring to the acting. So yes, agreed, there were other issues. I'm okay with accepting the poisoning for the sake of this film; there is suggestion that it was something else poisoning him, rather than the adamantium -- I agree that a substance so strong and pure as adamantium should not have been poisoning him, although I accept that may have been what they chose to do for the sake of this film and having a way to sort-of-gracefully kill Logan for good. What's wrong with Charles' seizures, though? As they put it, a brain disease in the world's most powerful brain; why shouldn't that be possible? I found the timing of his seizure super convenient, and wonder why (more) people didn't die since it surely took a good while for Logan to make it all the way up to release him, and we've been informed that people can't breathe during the seizure (let alone pull the triggers on their guns over the period of a minute or more). I don't feel that the writers didn't care about the characters. There are issues--there usually are especially when involving something with a long-established universe and deeply-connected fans. e.g. I'm not happy (understatement) with many of the choices in the Game of Thrones show that have nothing to do with time nor budget; yet it works for most people and even the original author seems to find it all acceptable. I think these are all good practice for us to appreciate what we appreciate and accept the rest without letting it detract too much from the good, happy, great, and satisfying. I do like that we can talk/rant/discuss these things though; I figure we must really enjoy and appreciate these things a lot if we're passionate about it even in disappointment.

Interesting. The points in this article are logically sound; overall probably impractical.

I increasingly feel that weddings should be small, private, happy (and serious) affairs, while [milestone] anniversaries are what should be celebrated with particular fanfare, friends, festivities. --Would make much better sense for longevity, for "investment" costs, and for the union of mutual family and friends.

A second, larger human jumping into the enclosure would very likely have further agitated the gorilla, risking greater harm to the child.

This story is especially sad because there is no evil here, no unkind intent. I'm sure that all parties involved and eyewitnesses are regretful and would have wished some different circumstances and all different outcome.

Also I feel you're severely misrepresenting the Pixel. It sounds like a straight case that the Pixel is not your flavor, and that much is fine. I am a Surface Pro fan too, yet I know the Pixel will serve many for their purposes just as well if not more efficinetly and pleasantly than will a Windows/SurfacePro machine.

While I agree that the comparison is like oranges to apples, the fact is that people will look at these two devices and make a decision to purchase one or the other -- do I want to take home a bushel of apples or a bushel of oranges? Which flavor do I prefer? Which is easier to peel or cut or eat without any utensils? Which is easier to wash? etc. It's not an apples to apples comparison but it is a reasonable and helpful comparison for many.

Funny. Samsung has the worst software of any; hardware's good but I can't touch Samsung (except for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus which was an amazing phone). HTC's UI is ok not awesome, I don't know about LG's, but anything is better than Samsung's idea of UI.

Er. have you even looked at the Sony Xperia Z3 yet? Or the Xperia Z2 for that matter? And all these adorable special "customizable features" (the software, not the outer design) seem pretty standard for Android.
