But, I guess the loss of linemen was not enough to overtake the more experienced Broncos. Masoli and Lagarrette were not getting enough protection or time to get the offense going. The defense I thought held their own considering they were out there most of the game. The ducks had some good points to build on despite the humbling loss without having to loose it as bad as Lagarrette did. It was an unfortunate and disappointing situation to have happened but, the players need to get their heads together and put this incident behind them and prepare for Purdue. There are two big games before starting PAC-10 play. Better to loose at the start than at the end when playing conference games. We the duck faithfull fans are behind you. We have the coaching staff and the players to make this a successful season. Go Ducks!!!

Re: Duck Feed: Busy Work Week on Tap - GoDucks.comThe University of Oregon Official Athletics Web Site

Like most duck fans Im feeling disappointed in our loss to a good WAC team. I still feel Oregon has higher talented players than any of the WAC teams. However, the Ducks or their fans haven't learned what it takes to be a champion. I've heard many comments from duck fans that are offensive to fans of other teams and to me that shows sportsmanship that is unbecoming of a good winning team. The Ducks on the other hand are not playing with the emotion of a top rated team. Every team playing us is showing up to prove they are just as good or better than us. If I can use USC as an example. They represent their team, themselves and the Pac-10 like the true champion that they are. When they are faced with must win situation they play hard and in most cases prove they can win. Oregon on the other hand has yet to prove what it takes to be a winner. I love and support the ducks but we are not there yet. There is much to learn about being a champion. I am waiting and hopping that we will get it together from the coaches to the players to the fans standpoint. I feel we can still have a fantastic year even with the loss to BSU. I will remain a Duck Athletic Fund member, a duck fan and continue to support our team. Go ducks!
