When the project was first announced, the names of the legends were already revealed :) What is exciting about Rhee is that he is planning to reboot Best of the Best. I hope he keeps the heart of the film as he did with this film...this truly had a lot of heart. My kids and I had seen this four times already since purchasing this :)

If they are still going with a thematic sequel for the third, I think it's time to bump Max Zhang from supporting to lead role. I think he has the skills and look to make a good action lead IMO.

Radar Pictures will be producing the film. Dimitri Logothesis, who co-wrote the script, is producing with Ted Field and Nick Celozzi.

It is a family friendly martial arts film. If you want to see them kick hardcore ass, then look out for White Tiger later this year. Cynthia and Don actually will fight each other in this with Cynthia as the villain...meanwhile, The Martial Arts Kid is a dream project for both Don and Cynthia...I already am supporting it :)

I got to see this film and I loved it....where else are you going to have UCF student rockers taking on motorcycle riding drug dealing ninjas...I live in Central Florida so it's like I'm right near the locations where they shot the film...like you can see some of the bikes going on County Road 415 and of course, University of Central Florida. Also loved Kwon Young Moon's fight choreography...classic kung fu film actor turned action director...nice job using TKD :)

I got to watch this at the Florida Film Festival and it is definitely a masterpiece for director Kim. My wife, who isn't a big fan of Asian cinema, loved the film as she found it both disturbing and wonderfully filmed. It is one of those films that doesn't really drag as it keeps intriguing the viewer.

Randy Orton was to have been in the 2nd film and he was actually a Marine before WWE. I think he should fit perfectly in the lead role.

Actually, that was my fault. I got Jang mixed up with another Korean actor, Jung Woo-Sung. The way Jung looked in Reign of Assassins reminded me of Jang. Thanks for the error Joseph and I was able to correct it :)

I for one liked the movie, was like a combination of Baby's Day Out and Three Men and a Baby done Chan-style. Yuen Biao made for great support and I for one laughed at the cameo by Nicholas Tse and Daniel Wu as the armored truck guards with Wu hitting on Tse's character while they are in the middle of a chase. Plus I enjoyed the finale, which pitted Chan against new JC Stunt Team leader Wu Gang and He Jun. My favorite gag with the baby was when Louis Koo lifted Matthew up with the vacuum cleaner.

I met Stovall via e-mail in 1999 when he was an up and comer. He hails from New Orleans and moved to California to work in the film industry. He started out mainly as a stuntman, including double for Anthony "Treach" Criss in ART OF WAR III: REDEMPTION. He can be seen in BLOOD AND BONE and BLACK DYNAMITE, both with Michael Jai White. In addition to Undisputed III, he served as fight choreographer for the yet-to-be released BUNRAKU, starring Josh Hartnett, Ron Perlman, and Japanese pop star Gackt.

Thanks for the error Zack. I did mean James Tien, I meant to write something about Dick Wei playing a big villain actor in the 80's and I had changed it at the last minute. Thanks for noticing :) I fixed it.

After reading Brandon's comment, I will tell you as I wrote this review, I didn't mention it but this is fact. Everytime I see this movie, the last five minutes of the film always and I do have to stress "always" brings a tear to my eyes. If you've seen the movie already, you know exactly what I am talking about.
