Or makes no sense at all. Assuming this 15% extra is the same percentage that customers would have left as a tip, I can see only one winner here, and it isn't the workers. If employers aren't prepared for paying staff extra to work on public holidays (which, if the laws are similar to the UK, they probably don't have to anyway) then they can always, y'know, not open.

Free bbq's? That's nothing. There's free food for all the locals here in sunny Glasgow. It can be found in convenient recepticles located at roughly 50yard intervals along all of the city's thoroughfares. Rake in them for something to eat whenever the mood takes you.

Isn't it possible that the reason internet reviews, word of mouth recommendations and the like are so influential in the final decision because they are not part of yer actual marketing drive? Once it's clear that you advertising types have infiltrated the areas that people once thought were a safe haven then their influence will be diminished, no?
