i fixed it myself. Your directions are more detailed, making it more
complicated to understand. I foudn a website that made it take less than 10
seconds. Don't overcomplicate something that is easy to do.

1) create favicon
2) upload it to website, copy href link
3 paste it into css layout before </head>

icon"/>

I added right under title tag with ico iamge hosted on a website and I did not get the result I wanted.
