This rings very true.

I used to go to 2-3 events per week in NYC but now I'm much more selective.

First, I find that I don't get as much value out of most events anymore.

Second, now that I'm a parent I'm much more careful about how I allocate my time. Would I rather spend time with a bunch of wantrepreneurs telling me about their new "tinder for X" app or with my daughter.

I am finding more value though in more selective events/conferences such as http://www.yesandyesyes.com.

I added your home screen to the the new blog I started called HomeScreenProject.com (built on Tumblr of course).

I believe that home screens are today's coffee tables and that you can learn a lot from people based on what they have on first page of their mobile device.
