Its similar. Its been around for awhile. Its only when woolies said they wanted to stick it on electrical goods, did Apple do anything.

Also, they have to protect their brand and trademark, if they are slack, when it really matters someone will use the "you didnt complain about them " excuse. And considering the tenous relationship Apple have with Apple corp. over the logo/trademark I can totally understand why Apple protect their brand.

Agreed, there should be some sort of trusted dev status. or verified app status. I think in this day and age, nothing is secure. So if Apple were to ditch the app store approval - perhaps it could be - that if you want to charge for it or have it "approved status" then go through the rigmarole of the approval process.

But, if all the apps were to keep quitting and causing issues that caused all the apps to crash, we all know who will cop the blame.

But again, if there could be a "use at your own risk" and these apps would have to be free. I think if I am paying there should be a small amount of checking.

But updates like facebook should have some sort of hand holding through the dev process so it can go straight up online like any other "trust developer".

Great post. I think that when you think no one thinks you can be found out, they will say anything. Samuel Jckson was talking about how he messages the anon. bloggers talking down all his movies - he asks to meet them and says here's my number if yo dont believe its really me. And none of them ever reply.

If on the same path you mean making money sure. Apple has 10% share of desktop computers. MS has 90% thats a big difference.

And I love how everyone said how shit Apple was and its crppy itunes when they announced it. Now everyone wants a piece.

IE isnt on the same page as iTunes anyway - thats a product - not a service. I'd like to see if Pre - tapped into windows update services how they'd feel about that.

And as with IE and Itunes their are alternatives like amazon, and its up to Pre to make a product that allows easy synching with amazon music - nothing wrong with doing that - or allowing a way to convert your iTunes music if you so desp. want to use itunes why buy a Pre????

Why should apple let Palm synch? Did Palm pay for iTunes development? Does apple have some serious licensing requirements from those (Friendly free-giving) music companies to ensure a closed system - I'd say so, I have no doubt that the iPod restrictive system intitally was to do with the music world being strict on agreeing on rights if it was protected. Apples only response to opening it out more was to put it on windows rather than allow 3rd parties to hook in to the system.

But now Apple I kinda happy with the arrangement. considering their market share now, to then.

Yeah its kinda weird. The UK version is just as strange. The segment where they are told how hideous they are by the surgeon is horrendous.

There is a better show from the UK which had a fashion designer/stylist and psychologist and goes through with people addressing their issues and how to look better than going under the knife. And has the person at the end choosing to either go with surgery or not. and most times they choose not to. But sometimes they still do. It was quite good. Quite compelling.

I think the unusuals shows a heap of potential. It could be awesome with its weird humor/serious cop show. I'veonly seen ep 1/pilot. But it could be an epic fail as well.

With LIFE now cancelled, I want a quirky cop show.
