That's the guy? I heard he originally intended to invent the Chittlin' pizza, but over cooked it in his first pizza oven that he made out of an old 55 gallon drum.

Several months ago in the Detroit News, there was a story about a Detroit urban hunter who sells fresh racoon meat from his east side garage. I had to double check to make sure I was reading an actual paper. With La-Van locked up, that guy needs to start marketing his culinary skills. Sounds far more appealing to Detroiters than pizza.

I just bought enough for a six inch deep layer on my driveway this winter from some guys selling it out of the trunk of a 1986 Caprice in an alley off Chalmers. No shoveling for Rory this year. they seemed disappointed with the 5 bucks I gave them. Seems they origianlly thought they stumbled upon the crack mother load.

No, not where I live. I seem to recall this case making national news. I haven't heard of anything remotely similar happening EVER in the suburbs. Detroit is where plaster Jesus statues are mistaken for copper and stolen for scrap, it's where packs of pit bulls roam the streets, and it's where 911 dispatchers yell at you for waking them up.

I can't wait for La-Van to get out. As LesterSinatra pointed out yesterday, La-Van is responsible for introducing the pork rind pizza, and I've heard from a good source that he will be unveiling more surprises for us upon his release, such as the Southern Deep Fried pizza, topped with catfish and mustard greens, and the City Chicken pizza that is rolled up and served on a stick. With a name like La-Van, it's got to be goot.

The $20,000 solar panels will generate about $300 in electricty per year? Wow! They will pay for themselves in only 66 and a half years! Assuming they have a 66 and a half year warranty of course. But the $50,000 irrigation system will only take a mere 34 and a half years to show a return. I was once the driver of a Ford F250 when a deer ran out in front of me. I tried to brake and swerve slightly but it was no use. I felt terrible until I reached my destination and found no damage to my bumper or grill whatsoever. Now, I don't swerve or brake at all.

Have to agree. Skipping an oil change is bad judgement. Barreling in front of an Amtrak while packed into a car with an 8th grader, her adult suitor, a Somali pirate, and his 21 year old brother that buy's your Boone's Farm for you just screams dumb@ss. If the train didn't stop him, a family's minivan would have eventually.
