Didn't see a way to vote, though. On the website, all you can do is "watch." I thought it seemed a little too clever for the student council. My guess would be faculty/staff.

Re: http://adoothwat.tumblr.com/post/508078965

I never mind. I'm thrilled to hear that you'd consider using this. I've been trying to gauge whether or not anyone else would be interested in liturgical arrangements for guitar. It's not a field that's very developed.

Check back tomorrow morning. I'll be posting another little piece of the Vespers liturgy.

In Christ,
AD

Re: http://adoothwat.tumblr.com/post/503040380

Yes sir. I appreciate it. Like I said up there, I'm planning on using this for the guitar setting I'm writing for the service of Vespers as it's found in the LSB.

Holden's an entirely different thing that we're doing now. It was written in the 80s for a hippie Lutheran commune up in Washington state called Holden Village. Here's a little about the guy who wrote it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

AD

Re: http://jwinters.tumblr.com/post/389331238

Great sermon, Padre. Thanks for the advice, PDubs. I guess I sort of did learn trial and error from the master.

AD

Re: The New Fall?

Hey man,

Thanks for the thought. I completely agree that this kind of thing is ridiculous to even think about, but it's thought provoking nonetheless. If I had to answer my own question, I'd probably give the Sunday school answer: Jesus. After all, the Bible says He died for the sins of the whole world, right? That means all future sin has been paid for, too. And with all forces of evil out of the way for good, there will conceivably be nothing left capable of drawing us away from the eternal and brilliant glory of the Father. Maybe it's not that there won't be temptation but that God will simply be infinitely more tempting than anything else.

This is without a doubt the most abstract thing I've ever written about. Seriously.

Re: adoothwat

Yeah man, you left that on a voicemail just before the end of this past semester.
