-Remember all of that cement in the Swan? Sayid said the only other time he'd heard of anything like that was Chernobyl.
-Charles Widmore was forced off of the island for some reason, and is bitter as heck about it. The fact that Ben knew what would happen and how to do it indicates someone else has done it in his time on the island. Widmore is an obvious candidate.
-Ben told Widmore he would kill Penny. They did not introduce that for no reason, and Penny would not be following Desmond to LA if they didn't want to explore this. Plus, they need an excuse to bring Desmond back to the Island.
-We have never seen Richard's feet. Coincidence?! I have no idea.

Also, I think something with time travel will bring New Charlie (Desmond and Penny's kid) back in time about thirty years and onto the doorstep of Mr and Mrs Pace, who will adopt the child as their own. That would add SO much more drama and sadness behind Desmond's inability to save Charlie from inevitable death and to Charlie's sacrifice. I'm probably wrong about this one big-time, but who knows.

just pick up one of your proposed ideas, regardless of how half baked it may seem and regardless of the likelihood of it not working out, and just go for it. even if you dont tihnk it will turn out well, just give something a try. you'll probably find out something you're good at and will feel a sense of accomplishment in giving something a shot. the easiest way to start a project is to start one.

everyone has mentioned the Bellagio buffet, but the Bellagio is the best place to gamble too. Top shelf liquor (ask for Grey Goose 'n tonics or whatever) for free and reasonable min. bet tables (unlike the Wynn). I recommend playing craps there, it's an immensely fun group game and not nearly as hard as you would think to win some money. If you do any sports betting, go to the Caesar's Palace sports book. It's huge and glorious.

At some point, take a trip away from the strip to Fremont Street. It's not an awful cab ride (they have some buses too) and is pretty cool to see, even if it sort of dingy. They have some nice $10 min craps tables.

My favorite buffet is the Spice Market Buffet, which isn't the fanciest in Vegas, but it has never disappointed me. And it has an escalator to exit, because you'll be so stuffed you'll barely be able to walk.

It may be too late, but..."Slanespotting" maybe? And I enjoyed the TV column quite a bit, because I'm way more TV junkie than movie. But nice job on all of the above.
