Oxygen is very barebones. I think they plan to add more features as time goes by. As of now, COS12 is the better option. If they sort out the OTA issues that is.

Very succinct. Exactly the summation that I find myself giving to my friends who are bent on ridiculing one platform or the other.

Here in India, even the low end Android phones have google services. Which is great. But as someone said you get a 80 dollar experience if you pay 80 dollars.

But I am seeing more and more people pick up nexus devices overall. The visibility of the nexus brand has definitely gone up.

The thing I value most about my phone is the fact that it is useful no matter which country I am in. It is the perfect tourist tool and I am always in the know about where to go and what to see...and what to avoid.

Downloaded this just now on my nexus 4. After I launch the apk, I get the cancel and install options but only the cancel option is enabled. Touching the install option does nothing. Cancel works fine. Any suggestions?

I have a feeling that Apple products sell so well because the hardware is so good. At this point the software has more or less taken a back seat. The apps are not good looking or bad looking they are just okay.

When someone says "Look how good the iPhone 5 looks" they are invariably talking about the hardware. You can't deny that.

iOS however, is boring. I am definitely bored with it and so are a lot of long time Apple customers that I know.

Well then that's a really boring future to look forward to, in my opinion. I am so sick and tired of the iOS and Android interface and the lack of freshness. But I assume most people don't like change anyway. Me... I love it and will definitely miss it most on iOS.

Here is my 2 cents. My usage is almost exactly the same as yours for my windows phone. Except for movies which I watch 0 of on the phone.
Windows Phone is the easiest to use as a mobile OS and also the freshest.

However, if I have my iPad around, I don't even look at the phone simply because its easier to consume on a bigger screen. Also, this isn't a function of the iPad, its the screen size that makes the difference to me. However, since you can't carry around the iPad/Other Tablets like you can a phone, your phone automatically becomes your primary device.

In summary, I would rather upgrade my Tablet than my phone, if I had to choose. Also, if we are talking about Android (of which I have owned multiple devices in the past) I NEED the pure google experience phone. I will not buy an android phone with a skin on it. I know it limits my choice but there are some good options.
