Seems like the author is a senior, so he's maybe 21 or 22? He'll work out some things as he gets older: Gigs usually run late. Being in your 30s isn't old. Rock and roll can not easily accomodate the need to meet a night bus (regardless of the time it leaves). True fans are fans for life.

One day, he'll be in his 30s (GASP!) and be at a Dan Deacon show (unless he's sold his soul like so many do), and there will be some kid behind him making fun of how he dances. By then, he hopefully won't care at all.

I'm REALLY into this. I have a TON of cassettes that I'd like to convert. Question is, How safe/reliable is it to order from this web site, given that (1) It's in Japanese and a foreign country and (2) that country is where that where was just a massive disaster (and apparently subsequent aftershocks/earthquakes). Thoughts?

Addendum: I never go out dressed slutty because it's stupid, and I have good self-esteem. This is the only decent reason I've heard to bother doing so.

I don't know that I agree with this Venn Diagram. Or maybe I'm just confused. Perhaps it's the latter. I've called myself a nerd for a long time. I'm thinking maybe I don't belong on this chart at all. I'm intelligent but not socially inept or an obsessive fan of anything. But I've been called a nerd my whole life by people making fun of my need to achieve in school. I guess being called a nerd doesn't really make me a nerd. Next time I'm acting socially inept, I'll just call myself a dork and leave it at that.

It's also the chart of how easy breakups get as you get older. There might be a slightly higher y-axis point on the first one, but they aren't ever easy, even for older people. My older clients are still just as miserable as my really young clients. No one likes getting dumped. Boo, breakups!

Hey look, I'm a 41 year-old woman, and I don't really see the problem with a 42 year-old man. All depends on what you're looking for. Your younger blogmate has just chosen to post a particularly adorable photo of himself there. Not really your fault. It's all in the presentation.
