this is a stunningly beautiful image anne, it somehow reminds me of two things that are perhaps unrelated. first the paintings of gerhard richter (one of my favorite artists)
and the second is the tom waits song, "you're innocent when you dream" from the film "smoke" of many years ago. thanks for sharing this, it made my day.

that's interesting because your last video has a very good sense of space. as they say "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence", i would love to have learned what you do with images and music and how you do it so well. you have a great sensibility for storytelling. ;-)

good for you anne, although i've always had the impression that you were already living a dream; 2 wonderful kids, a husband who's willing to try marmite on bread, a nice house in france, pets, and loyal friends and family. it looks like a great life from where i'm standing.;-)
have a great week at the seminar, hopefully i can read about it on your blog when you get back.

"smile friday" is so much better than "casual friday". i think offices should adapt this idea instead.

yes we are probably in the minority but certainly not alone. i also think that most ad campaigns have gotten too complicated that the essence of the message has become too muddy to be perceived by the general public. it's a reflection of the current culture of hyper-graphics and uber sensationalism. oftentimes especially with themes that relates to our own humanity, simplicity and clarity is best.

if the nutella company is smart, they would use this image in their ad campaign. it's iconic, in an old school way, almost like a norman rockwell composition but undeniably european. nice shot anne.
