It’s Christmas Time! by The Standalone &...

If you're going to use my file, hosted on a server that I pay for, you might at least link to the post I wrote to go with it. I say this because that post includes the relevant information on the artist who covers this song, including a purchase link for his album. You see, promoting new music does no one any good unless you are also going to put your money where your mouth is and dish out some dough to ensure that new music CAN continue to be made.

The Standalone, a project by Hans V., could really use your support. So, whatever your motivations are regarding your tumblr blog, please do respect my motivations as I am the originator of the files you help yourself to so generously.

Here's my post. http://www.loveshackbaby.ne...

And here's where you can buy Hans V.'s EP, his single, (the cover you use here, is for free download.) http://www.amazon.com/gp/pr...

Re: Beware of Falling Coconuts - On The Mountain: A still from a video i’m editing....

you're fookin crazy, you know that?!? don't you pay any mind to the names of places?hahaha xoxoxo

Re: Designer Drugs + Le Castle Vania

I had to smile when I read your post on this one. I love all the Smiths songs. But you should also know this version by Sandy Shaw, the barefoot, working-class, "it" girl of the 1960s England, according to wiki. 'In August 1983, a new phase in her career begun after she received a letter signed "Two incurable Sandie Shaw fans" telling her that "The Sandie Shaw legend cannot be over yet — there is more to be done." The letter was in fact from lead singer Morrissey and lead guitarist Johnny Marr of The Smiths' (from wiki). I like Morrissey's vocals better, but it's a neat little piece of music trivia nonetheless. xoxo

The Smiths (ft. One of my favorite Joans has a new album out today. Little Wild One looks to be a return to her good, bluesy, roots, and Joan Osborne knows how to soften up the blues like nobody's business. She said Denver had the clearest, most beautiful tone, with perfect pitch and just a clean sound vocally that she had ever heard in a man. Regardless of his reputation and musical choices (hey, admit it, we love the muppets!) that voice does stand above many. Listen to his early work, it shines. Great choice, and thanks! xoxo

Re: Johns: Johnny Cash

Funny, I can't listen to this version at all. It is so painful, so raw, so much *not* the kind of song that Cash would ever write or sing and *could* only sing in the twilight of his life. It's the song from a different kind of man, a different age of man, but with the same demons and the same pain. The more you know about Cash the more heartache you hear in his rendition of this cover. Great choice, and yes, quintessentially Johnny Cash, if only he himself could reveal it at the end xx

Re: Johns: Johnny Paycheck

I love your list of characteristics, and totally agree!
