I fear you misunderstand. Gender Fluidity is not as well studied as Transsexuality, but that too appears to have a biological basis.

One person we studied had untreated male gender dysphoria (S7), took no hormones and kept his transsexual feelings under wraps. He appeared to have a large INAH3 volume - in the male range - but a female INAH3 number of neurons (68) and a female BSTc somatostatin neuron number (95). Hence, this individual's hypothalamic characteristics were mid-way between male and female values.

Feel free to call me transphobic, racist etc. What matters is not what you think, but what the evidence shows. No disrespect of you is intended, and you are certainly entitled to your own opinion there.

Trans people face intense social pressure to conform to societal expectations. It is quite usual for them to temporarily convince themselves that they must be what others say they are, and not what they know themselves to be. They "keep their feelings under wraps".

Other, non-Trans people who are gender fluid nutate between genders, neither being a perfect societal fit, yet both being somewhat appropriate. We think. The best thing to do is to ask them, and listen to them. Then use their experiences to check our conclusions about neuro anatomy. If they don’t match, our conclusions are incorrect. So far, they seem to be right, but more study is needed for us to be confident. It would be astounding though if they were exceptional, when the rules for every other person we know of don’t apply to them. It would teach us a lot if this were so.

Intersex is defined as having a body neither wholly male nor wholly female. XXY is just one example. Some Intersex people are not sterile, though fertility is usually compromised to a degree.

As a matter of interest... how do you know you have XY chromosomes? Have you had a Karyotype? If not, and accepting your genitalia is usual for a male, then the odds are very high that you are correct. Only 1 in 300 men are not 46,XY, and those who are not usually have some genital anomaly. Not always though. 47,XXY/46,XY mosaics usually appear normal for men. But so do many 46,XX men with CAIS.

"If I were tomorrow to change my mind..." Not possible. Not without physically changing your brain. While this can be accomplished partially by hormone treatment, it doesn't affect gender identity. If the brain is not already feminised, feminising cross sexed hormones just cause misery. Conversely, if it is, they provide at least partial relief from the gender dysphoria.

It was the result of autopsy on every brain from trans people in the Netherlands brain bank.
There are rather more studies with larger sample sizes using fMRI and other techniques.

Being fair, it is sometimes difficult distinguishing between the two situations, when someone naturally rather than therapeutically changes sex.

3beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase deficiency (3BHSD) can do it.

17beta etc etc (17BHSD) and 5alpha reductase deficiency (5ARD) cause changes the other way.

As for Trans people, appearance of one sex, but brain of the other, to over simplify. Just as other syndromes cause mixed anatomy, parts M, parts F. Intersex, it's called.

Some don't believe that can be possible, that it must be a conspiracy of scientists like the one about the Earth being round, not flat.

Others believe that Intersex people exist, but are the spawn of the Devil or Nephilim . Their beliefs are sincere and deeply held. They see the.mere existence of such people as an attack on their Religion.

A bit of a problem that, for Intersex people. But what are they supposed to do?

That's from the medical standards of care of 20 years ago, this isn't something new or medically controversial. It's not elective.

Of course you will find nearly as many medically ignorant people who think otherwise as who think that Covid is a hoax, and a bit of sheep dip and bleach is adequate treatment, vaccines being "experimental" regardless of what doctors and biologists say.

McHugh's views have been disowned by Johns Hopkins. He is perhaps best known for his professional expert advice to the Vatican stating that child sexual abuse by priests was a non-issue, and a plot by Jews and Leftists to discredit the Church.

Puberty is no more "mysterious" than the circulatory system. Except to the uneducated in that area of medicine. Do we know everything about it? No, but we know more than for most areas of biology.

His article isn't a scientific work it's a polemic that is economical with the truth, written in order to further a political agenda. Being fair, "Commentary" makes no pretence of being a scientific journal, it is a political one, containing opinionated ideology.

Glad to see that Republicans now refuse to recognise parental rights to make medical decisions about their children, even when they are backed up by medical recommendations.

Also good to see that medical treatment that has been standard for 35 years old is deemed experimental, despite what the healthcare profession says.

Very good to see that the same procedures - breast reduction surgery for boys with gynecamastea, hormone therapy for amenorrea, puberty blockers for central precocious puberty, and genital reconstruction for ambiguous genitalia in toddlers, are all perfectly safe when recommended by healthcare professionals and agreed to by parents. It's only trans children where the procedures are unsafe, even after a 35 year history of success.

Who cares what the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, Endocrine Society, American Academy of Family Physicians., American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Physicians, World Professional Association for Transgender Health, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American Osteopathic Association say? Would you trust *them* to make medical decisions about your childrens' health rather than the State legislature?

What is asserted without evidence can be ignored without evidence.

The problem is that the US constitution requires each state to formulate its own electoral laws. Within each state, each county has its own interpretation of those laws, and backed up by case law in lower courts. Ultimately, what the written laws mean is determined by state supreme courts, the SCOTUS has no jurisdiction.

What is legal in one state is illegal in another.

That is the American way.

This has the great disadvantage that electoral anomalies are inevitable, inescapable, and fraud on the scale of dozens of votes easy to accomplish. It has the great advantage that large scale fraud is impossible, there is too much variation for systemic fraud to be possible.

This normally doesn’t matter, unless the election is so tight even a handful of votes can flip the result (as with Bush v Gore). When the difference is in the millions, with extensive judicial review and recounts, minor anomalies have no effect. None. Zero.

No, much of what was testified to was true. Just not an indication of fraud, those testifying were ignorant of how elections are supposed to be conducted.

For example, if the law allows corrections to incomplete addresses - Marion Street instead of Marion St. - then correcting the address is not fraud, and sworn testimony that the testator actually saw such incomplete addresses being corrected in accordance with the law is not evidence of fraud, even if the testator thinks it must be.

Much was lies though. Obvious lies too.

The extensive, detailed testimony about the large scale cheating in Edison County, MI for example, adduced in many of the cases.

There is no "Edison County" in MI or any other state. The sworn testimony was complete fiction, from beginning to end.

Given the going on a hundred or so anti trans articles published over the last 12 months in The Australian, an unremitting stream of highly slanted opinion masquerading as news, I wouldn't be too sure that this is just attention seeking. It is part of a well funded international media campaign in the UK and Australia.

Why it's happening is another question, one not easily answered. There appears to be a strong element of Fanaticism in it, and an unholy alliance of loony left and religious right, united only in hatred and malice, and scapegoating.

This modus operandi has had some success in Hungary, Poland, Russia and Belarus, mainly targeting Gays, but also anti immigrant, anti muslim, anti semetism, anti Roma, in fact, any number of different groups now being blamed for ills social and economic. Which group(s) is a matter of fashion. Anti Feemasonry is important in some places, but in Australia would lead to mockery.
