Quite a few people have this same reaction when they learn they are vanilla.

While I appreciate everyone's compliments and concern for our subject in
this question, it seems to me you ladies are missing the point in this
article. It's evident that this couple has a good relationship and a great
sex life (she stays so herself "I'm told I'm beautiful, and my partner finds
me very sexy. We have a very full and abundant, fun and passionate sex
life.") The important deep-seated issue is that she is lacking in
self-esteem. A woman who is confident in herself, and who has a full and
abundant sex life would not be troubled by porn in the least. IF however she
had come to me and said "my husband can't stop watching porn, he doesn't
touch me, we have a terrible sex life" my response would have been very
different. I would have definitely said the problem was his.

Force Fantasy is definitely a controversial topic. We had a difficult time
publishing the rest of Kris Williams "Bad Girl" series as it got deeper and
darker - but oddly enough we also received a lot of positive comments on
that one. I'm not sure what you mean by "men-beating-women" stories
populating so much of our site I think we have quite a bit more
stories/poetry/articles that aren't at all like that.

This really isn't about men v. women. If the gender roles were reversed in
both of these instances I would have still given out the same advice. In the
other scenario, the porn viewer is open and honest and is also giving their
partner plenty of love and affection and great sex- hence the suggestion
that this may be a self-esteem issue on the part of the non-porn viewing
partner. In this article the porn viewer is secretive and hiding a very
unusual kink, the only way this relationship will work is with serious
therapy (if that). I don't view these questions in broad strokes (for
example I'm *not* setting a rule that men can watch porn but women can't), I
view them as specific case studies, each with their own sets of rules and
complications.
I think the main issue that you may disagree with me on is I don't think
pornography is all bad. In fact I think it can play a healthy part in a happy
sexual relationship.
