Nope. It is not perceived as jackassery funnily enough, Logically you think that it would be but try it out a couple of times and see what happens- that is the best answer I can give you. I could sit and write out all the psychological reasons why but I would rather you experience it for yourself and see its power.

Oh, also, as a little afterthought that I neglected to put in the actual article...the story doesnt have to be interesting! We arent weaving a whole hollywood tale here...the purpose of the story is to subconsciously plant in her mind the idea that women regularly buy you drinks. So it really only needs to be slightly interesting enough.

(And admittedly that story is pretty dull and you can probably come up with a better one on your own but this one has worked for me just fine plenty of times in the past.)

Yes, this stuff does overlap with the pick up arts but is not limited to exclusively meeting women. In fact, there are styles of seduction that focus more on being comedic and less Alpha...

All of this has way more practical application within the business settings and will help you easily progress and be very influential. Good luck gentlemen. ;-)

Hey Edgar, the because technique is insanely effective. Just make the word more of your vocabulary.
In sales, "I can see that you would really enjoy this product BECAUSE it has antennas and you have antennas so the two of you would get along"...or whatever the real reason is.

Yep, I mention that. And you got that from the show Lie to Me but no matter. Paul Ekman says in his REAL research (not the entertainment droll that is that show) that the only real way to tell lies from a person is to establish a baseline, as I mention in the article.

The tips that I tell at the bottom are the WAYS that people would establish from the baseline. Hope that helps, feel free to comment in the future.

(Oh and there obviously is a credible way of telling when someone is lying considering that Paul can do it with about 85% accuracy. ;-))

Great article. Loved the Spielberg analogy. Just a quick note- studies have shown that you will actually change your behavior depending on how you act. So the old saying has been proven psychologically true: "Clothes make the man". as well as my grandmothers saying, "Dress for the job you want, not the job you have!"

I cannot stress how important an idea that is! Just by dressing hte part you will not only be treated the way you are dressed but you will further ACT the way you are dressed!

Haha, Aj totally. One of my favorite examples is this. When you are on a subway (and this is easier because I am in New York) there is one common denominator to everyone on the subway, they will all have closed off hand gestures (hands crossed, grabbing wrists to reinforce good feelings).

Children however will be running around making friends with everybody on the subway...because they have not yet been taught social culture. So children when they are lying will generally cover their mouth..as they become more acclimated to social convention they will touch their lips and eventually as they become adults and become really socially acclimated they will...touch their nose- aka. the Pinocchio effect. ;-)
Its a fun progression. lol.

That's what an actor is. lol. The truth is that you cannot. Although chances are that there would be something called" Leakage" of emotions. Which means that some form of the real emotion they are feeling (even through changing internal states) would still leak out in the form of micro expressions and thel ike.
