Such a pointless episode. They should have ended the series with his death. I cannot imagine what I will need to sit through on Tuesday, but I'll be very glad it's finally over.

Thank the gods my parents let me watch anything I wanted. When I was five, when I wanted to see an R-rated horror film, they brought me to it, no questions asked. And all that did was ingrain a lifelong love of cinema and television into me.

Get over it. Parents should allow their children to watch whatever the hell they want, no exceptions. And if they have questions, be a parent...and ANSWER THEM.

Government is there to represent EVERYONE, no matter their beliefs...religious beliefs should be completely irrelevant to government. Completely. I am so happy that I live in a country where I don't even KNOW what my leader's beliefs are..nor should I need to.

How truly ignorant. You should feel free to believe what you'd like, but unless 100% of the population agrees (not 99.9%....100%), religious beliefs have ZERO place in politics. Religion and beliefs should remain personal at all times while government and law should respect EVERYONE's beliefs equally. Religion should never, under ANY circumstance and without exception, EVER be imposed on ANYONE for ANY reason.

These are ridiculous for the most part...status' can be fun no matter what you choose to write, some more interesting than others. People, don't listen to any of this garbage and just write whatever you want.

As for the "big news update," if you get a friends "big news" via Facebook status update, that, IN NO WAY, means you're a second or third tier friend...I often give big news via Facebook so I can tell a bunch of people at once without having to call them from, you know, work or something... Many a time, Facebook knows my news before my boyfriend...so really, most of this article is pure, ignorant crap :)

Um, just about everyone *I* know gets a silly joy out of poking, and we are all a few decades beyond 16. Seriously folks, if you wanna poke, whether you're 8, 18, 28, 38 or 88....POKE AWAY!

Just don't tag drunk photos of your friends, don't put truly personal information, like phone numbers and addresses in your profile, and always remember that a wall post is NOT private. Go by just those three rules and you're good to go.

I think this is absolutely ridiculous. If you want to put such a huge fine on someone, go for bigger guns, not some University student. Music is digital now, and there will never be an end to downloading songs...and there shouldn't be. Downloading a song is no better and no worse than back in the 80s when we recorded a song off the radio on a cassette tape. Assholes who download FULL albums for free are a different story....but still not worthy of a judge ruining their life. Even worse are people who download full albums and then burn and distrubute them.

But for the joe schmo just downloading popular songs on occasion just like the way we recorded off the radio and our friends in the old days...give them a freakin' break.

$675000 is just plain ludicrous and this case should be thrown out of court.

As a huge consumer of music, I am the first to be completely against pirating full albums (and movies, for that matter) and I have never downloaded either, legally or illegally (as I hate watching movies on my computer and if I want an album, I want a physical CD to add to my ever-growing prized collection).

HOWEVER, in a time where YouTube and downloading music exists, there are many things to consider. ANYTHING available on YouTube by any artist does nothing but help promote them. As for illegal downloads of songs, as much as there are many who abuse, you have no idea how many albums I have purchased because I heard a snippet of a song in a movie, in a TV show, on the radio, wherever, and I then ran to my computer to search it out online, downloaded the song FOR FREE, loved it, and then ran and bought the CD because of it...something I would not have done otherwise.

Artists have to realize that though many disrespectfully steal full albums and the like, there are many of us who see downloading one or two songs from an album online as absolutely no different than back in the 80s when I ran to record a song off the radio on my cassette deck...and I have bought a truckload of albums because I downloaded one or two songs, liked them and then searched out the album. This is a particularly important point for artists not being played on mainstream radio or hitting the charts.

Some don't lead me to buy the whole album because the only good song or two are the ones I downloaded...and you know, if you want people to buy the whole album, some artists should put more care into making sure there are more than just a couple of good songs on their album. And if someone doesn't want to buy the whole album, seriously, one song being downloaded is not going to break the bank. If anything, the artists should be flattered to find out his song has been downloaded to one or one hundred computers.

Bottom line, downloading full albums is wrong, downloading full songs risk-free (ie not paying money for a song you are not sure you'll even like) is imperative and nothing but an excellent marketing tool.

So where do we find a middleground is the question.
