I agree with a lot of this. Especially about Anna and Jordan. However I am not sure why fans are still holding out hope for Ron to write romance in a way that's not plot driven when he hasn't since he took over the show. It's just not gonna happen. There's never going to be a couple on this show written the way Brad writes the couples on B&B. And I have to say that's still odd to me considering Ron had a few swoon worthy couples at OLTL. I will give him Samtrick (which will implode at some point) but other than them, all the other ones follow the same formula. Stall putting them together, put them together, blow it up the very next episode, repeat. As someone in the key demo they are losing, I will never watch this show for romance. I'll watch because there are still entertaining aspects to it. But entertaining doesn't always equal substance.

Every single thing you just said was the entire point of the article. You must have missed that. Neil being put into it ruined what had the potential of being great. However its kinda interesting how a SL that has been done to death, including on this show, is all of the sudden disgusting & offensive...

Long answer: I'm not sure exactly how Bell can be so blatant and swift with the direction of his storylines and then in a span of a week undo it all. Its happened quite a few times this year. Batie was burned at the stake twice over and now we're just supposed to forget about that? The affair with Brooke was one thing. Thats nothing in the soap world really. It was the way they wrote Bill after that was the problem. The way he spoke about Katie as if she wasn't the mother of his child. He called her the "some assembly required model." I'm just supposed to forget that? Nah. It's gonna happen regardless of what I think tho. Heather is my favorite so I have no real choice but to support, but I will be watching Batie 2.0 thru clenched teeth and eye rolling
