European schools are run by the government, too, but they do very well without overpaying their teachers. As I see it, to become rich one must be callous, greedy beyond limits, and totally indifferent to everybody else.

Your views have the odor of anti-semitism in the Third Reich. Of course nothing is free, but do you get free auto insurance? Health care coverage works the same way and is determined by the insureds' amount of income. You get it, whatever your income. You keep it, even if you are temporarily unemployed or move to another location. The supermen in DC ought to learn something from those experienced since German chancellor Bismarck. After all, they did not hesitate to take advantage of German hardware and scientists after WWII.
