I like the system! The computers may have favored Oklahoma St, but that's why the computers are just one component of the rankings
The system gets it right every time. I can't remember a year when the #1 team at the end, didn't deserve it

And as far as Alabama getting left out in the cold?
If Oklahoma St. had lost one game at home to LSU by 3 points in OT, and we somehow didn't play LSU, but lost to Vanderbilt, I would expect to be left out in the cold.
It's the way it works.
Win every game and you'll never get left out in the cold, unless you're Auburn... Which again, I like the system!

Well, first of all, I think I like the system. It's actually really good at doing its job, which is, to select the top 2 teams in the country. That's it

As fans, we are biased, because we'd rather see something new, instead of a re-match.

If you have to pick between Alabama & Oklahoma St., I think it's only fair to pick Alabama based on what we've seen.
- all Oklahoma St. had to do was beat Iowa St. -- come on guys! That's like Alabama losing to Vanderbilt

As far as the fairness to LSU: As it turns out, no matter who won that Nov. 5th game, there was going to be a re-match. I don't think LSU is at a disadvantage in the BCSNG, because they won the first game. Alabama could've just as easily won, and there would still be a rematch.
Which leads me to my next point:
The national champion is, and always has been, who the best team was on the day of THAT game.
i.e. If Alabama beats LSU, they are national champions, end of story. no bitching and complaining.

The national champion is whoever wins the BCSNCG.
Everyone plays by the same rules. The winner is the winner, and that's it

I am a proponent of the BCS :)

I think Nick Saban said it best. Either you want the two best teams in the National Championship Game, or you want the game to be some type of matchup between two teams from different regions of the country.
If you know anything about football, then you know that Alabama and LSU are in their own league this season. Oklahoma St. lost to Iowa St.. Alabama's second-team would manhandle Iowa St., on an off-day, and I'm sure the same is true for LSU.

You wanna play in the BCS bowl games, join a BCS conference.

The fact is, it isn't fair. BOTTOM LINE. Boise St. doesn't play a BCS schedule, they play a BCS team. As in ONE, for the entire season. A mid-level one at that. Then they bitch and moan about not playing for the title?? It's crazy.
I'm not saying that non-AQ teams aren't any good. I'm saying they have an unfair advantage at going undefeated. I'm saying they're not required to have the same depth that a BCS team needs to make it through a BCS schedule alive.

The whole Alabama vs. Penn St. game strikes me as odd now, as well. The thing about Alabama this year is they've had to gel, and come together as a team.
Alabama has gotten better/stronger every week they've played. They haven't played a complete game yet, but I'm hopeful that they'll really be hitting their stride by LSU week.

Another thing: "The Swamp" really isn't all it's cracked up to be. I've attended a game there, and it's nothing compared to Alabama's or Auburn's stadium. It probably doesn't beat Tennessee's or LSU's either.

I think we'll end up with 3 undefeated teams, averting any/all crisis:
Alabama/LSU, Oklahoma, Boise St.

Of course, Alabama/LSU will beat Oklahoma for the title.

haha I highly doubt it. I kind of miss baiting him into those long drawn-out rants though.
Also, I didn't know this game was being played in Morgantown. Les Miles will always drop a game or two that he shouldn't. I'd say WVU has as good a chance as anyone to take LSU. I'll certainly be rooting for your Mountaineers in this one
