Applying brakes to an accelerating vehicle WILL slow that vehicle down. It may not STOP it but it WILL slow it down. Now, The greed factor here shows in a couple of places. 1st, the $200 million is outrageous but not uncommon. What is JUST as outrageous, and just as common, is the fact that they aren't just suing Toyota Motor Company but Fred Haas Toyota as well. Fred Haas did not build this vehicle, they did not design this pedal assembly, they did not fail to do a proper repair. This is a tactic designed to help collect more money.
