Cognitive science reveals that arguing with bigots is the worst tactic one can employ. It simply hardens their certainties and can even make them double down. Find something you agree on and use that as a starting point. We need to develop a manual like the ones that exist for caregivers. Do and don't do listed in easy to understand sentences.

They do not think. That is the problem. The desire to think for themselves is driven out of them in childhood in what is colloquially known as Sunday School. Which in reality is a mind control scheme to turn children into obedient non-thinking adults. The chain must be abolished so future children at least have a decent chance to grow up as autonomous self directed thinking individuals.

By ratifying the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child we would put an end to any possibility of sentencing children to death. This convention is enforced by about 40 countries around the world. The US helped draft the convention, but then the RW came to power and it has been all downhill ever since. We would also put an end to the inhuman counterproductive punishment of children widely used for correcting their behavior. Conservatives will not relinquish their sadistic power over their children until we make it against the law.

Does it occur to you that you may be an exception? You are one data point and we must think of millions of people when assembling a population to study. Furthermore according to the rules of statistics we must use a group that is randomly selected. People need to understand the science of statistical research or they will be easily misled by common sense notions.
