Tried this on a new-ish, expensive hand-made 5-string and was BLOWN away at how easy and kinda fun it was. All your tips worked perfectly. Folks, this really works, do follow along. Thanks!

Re: Traffic Doesn’t Make a Media Brand | BoF Professional, Media Matters | BoF

Personalization in ad creation and delivery - should help publishers further define their true audiences, and thus further refine their offerings. Thus, there can be a virtuous circle where the intelligence that drives ad syndication feeds into the product offering, which itself further drives greater intelligence that drives ad syndication.

Your point about feeling as though your content is good enough and distinct enough to charge for (even i you don't) is spot on. The Guardian's model of inviting the financial participation of like-minded folks feels like the best-in-class way of doing that so far.

This was a great post, thanks.

Re: A Whiter Shade of Pale | True Story | OZY

Such a great idea, introducing your daughter to someone extraordinary who is just like her...to be a reminder that she can be (and probably is already) extraordinary beyond her appearance. I should have sent in my 1988 P-bass with jazz pickup in the bridge position AND my 2012 5-string Precision with a Nordstrand humbucker in the bridge position. We kept the 2-control look by having the Tone be the Tone and having the volume be a volume plus a raised position to take the humbucker out of phase to get my that Ricky sound...lovely but of work, totally understated in execution.

Re: Meet Google’s ambitious new CAPTCHA that makes it easier to prove you’re human

Brands can load images of their range of products for comparison...which is to say nothing of the potential for adult sites...

Re: If you use WordPress, you need to know about this button

Evernote has the same thing...called "Simplify Formatting" and it makes my life SO wonderful, with all the cutting and pasting I do...do I get a beer too? ;-)

Re: Most U.S. jobs pay under $20 an hour

I would like to see this chart historically with amounts corrected for relative value. A skilled implementation expert can bend and shape just about any CMS to extend its capabilities. It's not that these features don't exist, but that the CMS of the future should in an out-of-the-box way support the changed context and behaviors of today's organizations as they pertain to data and content origination, organization, presentation, and consumption. The current crop are adaptations from an old centralized creation model. Wouldn't it be cool if, moving forward, CMSs were architected to reflect the way businesses need to operate today? Thanks very much for your comments, it's a topic that I am particularly keen on and your thoughts are very well-received.

Re: 5 Things to Look for in the Future of the CMS

Thanks very much! As we continue to see more and more evolution in user behaviors, we will need to see more and more crossover of data services across the enterprise platforms that our clients use. HypeMachine for me is the expression of the mash-up in art, where the artist creates, then releases the work into the world. And then the world has it's way with it, because there is always more creativity (and sometimes wisdom) in a crowd.

Artists who can't handle this should consider law school, knowhutimsayin?
