In my high-school days, I had depended heavily on Schaum's Series of books on mathematics, Algebra as well as Physics to learn the subject better. This is because the content is taught through a good number of examples that hardly I find in any book. After the examples come the exercises that provide problems in increasing complexity. I am sure this book on Algebra and Arithmetic by Brita Immergut, Jean Burr Smith will also be another hit in its long list of successful books.
