Define "killing". Because if you mean the fact that petty self-absorption and gossip are out-pacing the critical aspect of the review, than yes, he is killing the review. This is pretty much exactly why people hate the NYT Book Review.

Random allusion: Gavin McInnes (the Vice guy who wrote those Dos and Don'ts) had one random comment about two gentlemen that appeared to be homosexual, and Gavin showed them to his father, a grizzled old guy, who call them 'pooves', as in the plural form of 'poof'.

Of course, they're both Canadian, so there's that.

Took me forever to get Arenas. Just didn't click, maybe because I don't think of him as a great player since, well, he's always hurt and hasn't won anything. Like others, I was on the Kobe track. Pippen was very obvious though.
