For example you say 14 acres of open space, which the city is paying for, but only 12 acres is required.

Justin Carr was a peaceful BLM protester who was shot and killed in Charlotte North Carolina by another protester.

I would not say it is conservative to spread conspiracy theories that discourage taking precautions against disease. The mandates by government and private business (including Fox News) only came about after the republican party convinced a large part of it's base to refuse the vaccine, social distancing and face masks.

In Florida we passed constitutional amendments to require fair districts. Republicans used taxpayer money to fight us in court and did all they could to subvert the law. This is wrong whichever party is in control.
The Manhattan Institute loses credibility when it is clearly partisan. Why not advocate for reform for all states in the election bill before the senate?

It's easy for the Fox Republican propaganda network to take a cheap shot at the mayor for the cities poor response to criminal activity under the guise of free speech. Unfortunately, allowing black lives matter to take over the street has been shown to invite further protest that may escalate to rock throwing at windows and people. Elected officials and the public need to stand behind police and allow peaceful protest and arrest lawbreakers.

There is a difference between taking down a work of art and destroying it in a criminal act.

It seems that student government is condoning crime and destruction of art reminiscent of how the Taliban blew up ancient works of art.

There is a simple solution to these offensive monuments to Jim Crow that are now legally protected by elected Republicans.

Provide signage with accurate historical context. Let people know that current political leaders are protecting the memory of past leaders who brought total destruction to much of the south in their war against the United States and later brought a century of poverty and oppression after they ended reconstruction.

Reconstruction liberated whites as well as blacks by giving the people the most honest government they had ever know with reforms like free public schools for all children.

Let elected Republicans embrace the heritage of wreckless leaders who destroyed our states and impoverished our people. Just tell the truth about it.

And this is not about white supremacy. White men had the privilege of fighting for years in a war that left a large percentage dead or wounded. The majority of white people had the privilege of working for poverty wages in competition with slaves and later as oppressed sharecroppers or factory workers. Whites who protested these conditions were sometimes the victims of lynching.

Black Lives Matter does the work of the klan and those who built these statues by fueling division and hatred that enables our oppression.

Your writing leaves out key facts to distort reality.

For example, this movement says they started with the death of young Trayvon because the acquittal of his killer was done to "humiliate his family to justify his cold-blooded murder presumably because his assailant was white-presenting'.

Leaving out the horrible Stand Your Ground law that allows one to kill by claiming they were afraid, even if the killer provoked a confrontation that led to fear.

Leaving out the word "alleged" before the word murder.

Leaving out the logical conclusion that convictions need evidence and unfortunately the only witness in the case was the murder victim.

Leaving out the 6,000 homicides of black folks every year, rising in cities like Baltimore where BLM has had an impact. Clearly these black lives don't matter to the people you promote.

Your statement that pro-lifers position is "functionally meaningless" is not accurate. Obviously many are not consistent in their support for prenatal care and other needs of children, but you generalize and distort their position. Most do care about mothers and their children and provide money and volunteer hours to help. A significant minority believe in a "consistent ethic of life" that includes opposition to things like the death penalty and nuclear war.

You would be accurate if you were only talking about the Republican party platform and legislation. They've been exploiting the issue for decades to win political control of both state and national governments without doing much to eliminate abortions but making it harder for mothers and children to get health care. Mostly what they do is make abortion less convenient and more expensive.

You could have gone on about Republicans not caring about children in the womb getting lead poisoning in Flint or mercury poisoning from coal fired power plant emissions, or the high rate of miscarriages in ICE facilities.

It's not uncommon for a pro-life member of congress to coerce his mistress to abort his own child.

Please take a look at liberal pro-life groups.

Cullors said she never wavered from supporting her brother but also said she and her family went 4 years without attempting to visit him in jail.

She must feel guilt about this. Perhaps she blames police and government for not stepping in to help a young man essentially abandoned by his family as her way of dealing with this.

At the time Richards was first arrested a national spokesperson for Black Lives Matter asserted the right to free prisoners from police custody. The courts have been extremely lenient considering this group does not respect the law and will incite others to violence whenever they have the opportunity.
