Hi Jon. I have nothing to apologize for. You simply took issue with my point of view on a post, and when I would not bend and see it your way, you eventually left a diatribe which not only used cavalier language, but suggested that I was not a christian. That is why you were blocked. I have no interest in socializing with such a mentality, especially when there is so much else in which to engage my time. I believe the biblical form of servitude is lawful and would be far superior to the humanistic slavery known as the prison system (and much else of the modern "justice" system) we have to day.

Yes on the first question. On the latter half of the last sentence, while there may be some or even "many" who say that, they are wrong. Of course, things can be relative in comparison; but American black slavery was nowhere near falling within OT standards.
