Cal, nice to see you here!!!! What a screwy system! We will have to work harder to debate, but my guess is we are up to the task!

So, the events of the past 8 years have put us where we are. I agree that the congress of the past two years has done nothing to improve it, but how could they possibly have made things worse? Our country is going broke paying for a war that got away from us before it ever started. Mission was NEVER accomplished, unless the mission was to drive our deficit so high our great grandkids will never pay it off.

Please don't give me the the "you don't support our service men and women" speech, I believe there are thousands of people of all ages, races, genders, religions, and whatever over there providing good, faithful, honest service to their countries, and I readily acknowledge that my freedom to write this letter is directly attributable to them and those who came before them.

Add to the massive war-time spending the fact that we are bailing out every business that fails, every industry that is in trouble, and we are in dire straights. The money you cry about that is spent on social programs and the environment is a drop in the bucket. Think about it.
