I've loved the fabulous Zoe from our first meeting where she suspiciously, but cheerfully, kept her wagging self between me and her food dish. I also loved her for surrendering her couch to me with grace and kindness even though she'd give me a friendly reminder that I was using HER couch around the 5th day of my visits. Gentle, warm, loving, graceful, gorgeous, playful and funny. My heart aches from missing her.

I just adore Zoe! That's the exact spot on the couch she generously cedes to me the first 48 hours of any of my visits. After two days she proceeds to give me the stink eye for taking her favorite place. There are limits to any host's generosity. :)

It is indeed cold (and wet) in the SoCal region as well. There was ice on the bird baths this morning and heavy rain most of the day.

The gourds are ready to pick when the vine dies. Then there's a weird drying process that's like a science experiment in which the gourd goes from green to moldy looking to finally dry and ready to work with (when the seeds shake inside). I'm not all of that but it sure makes a difference that you believe in me. :)

It's heartbreaking but I'm not going to diminish the glory of the day by whining about it or placing blame. I will take more action in the future. President-Elect Obama, and his supporters, asked me to vote my better angels and I did. And it felt good. In the very near future I will ask him, and them, to do the same for me. And they too will be the better for their support of gays and lesbians.

The margin is closing but I'm not sure there are enough votes left out there to overtake the yes votes. Latest numbers.

CNN still talking about a very slim defeat of Prop 8. [Prayers they are correct]

Tracking these results and seeing over 4 million people in California vote against my basic human civil rights really dampens my earlier enthusiasm.

This is going into the wee hours of the morning. CNN reports exit polls show a very slim defeat of Prop 8. I pray the exit polls are accurate. Latest numbers.
