I am just catching up with all my friends around the globe after a nutty run of a few months :)

Re: 10 Words That Will Increase (or Decrease) Your Twitter CTR

There may be no huge surprises here but it is really useful to have the data. Thanks Dan. I am intrigued by the hashtag indifference.

Instinctively I think 'via' is a good way to demonstrate respect for source, and for some reason I have always deleted the @addthis - takes up valuable space!

Re: Don't Let Your Next Crisis Go to Waste

I have only recently been thinking about this challenge in connection with my work as a mediator. One observation is that in crisis, hierarchies tend to flatten naturally and people look more to how they can connect to others to get the maximum progress rather than look for how they can capitalise and advance themselves or meet targets that are perhaps less clear in so called 'normal circumstances'. Personal leadership skills, responsibility and courage get the chance to play out and mostly with astonishing results.

Capturing that changed environment and intentionally incorporating it into the organisational ethos would go a long way to levelling the peaks and troughs of performance and avoid burn-out.

Re: Prince: “The Internet Is Over”

I think Prince is just a purist and he might see the distribution of music on the internet as "dumbing down". He has always been visionary so those who feel he is in denial might just have to eat their words. “I really believe in finding new ways to distribute my music,” Isn't that what people said before the proliferation of iPods and Mp3 players?

Re: Annapurna Moonrise

Absolutely gorgeous. I also love the quote about thinking and walking. It has reminded me how true that is for clarity and problem solving. I would like to be carrying an M9! I have a Digilux 3 at the moment and once you have a Leica you never want anything else!

Re: Getting better answers out of your head

I really enjoyed this. I love the metaphors and the reminder that there is no room for complacency when tuning the brain to perform at its best.

Re: Getting better answers out of your head

This is a super post. I really enjoyed the metaphors and the reminder that there can be no complacency about how you tune your brain and your thinking patterns. Thanks to Valeria Maltoni for the tweet.

Re: Irony or Wrinkle Free

This is hilarious! The best review is the one with one star from someone who now thinks the other reviews were exaggerated. Bless! I wonder if Spud is back with us yet?

Re: Free Hugs

Wonderful! It is so interesting to see how different people react to risk: the risk of looking foolish? The risk that it is a trick? And how the older and younger people just go for it - especially the skateboarder!
