Since you've been gone for so long and missed the part where I jumped from a building because I couldn't deal with your absence, I'll fill you in on the lobster happenings of last week.

I saw Twilight two times, it was so funny I almost cried. Two exams so far. Two sleepless nights. Too much time spent on my Hagstrom.

I don't think it's that simple musicially, especially not that version of the song. I also think covers are especially well done when they are the farthest from the original but still carry the same meaning, or even better: if they intensify it.
