Well unfortunately your argument was as poorly articulated as your logic is flawed. Murder and gay marriage are not comparable not because people believe they are immoral but simply because one threatens peoples lives and the other doesn't. While you are correct that "live and let live" is not a universally applicable principle, and certainly not applicable for murder, it is for gay marriage. It is a private issue that affects certain individual's rights to carry out their own lives as they see fit, not a threat to everyone's survival and existence. So while many have (understandably) misunderstood your alleged argument, it doesn't matter anyway because both your argument and logic are wrong on every level.

For me, there is nothing unfortunate about the separation of church and state. It is unfortunate for the argument of people who oppose gay marriage. That's what I meant.
