It seems that the creators have taken two terms that have caused pain through ignorance and hate and taken a funny twist to it, allowing humor to take away their power.<br>If the people who hate this movie had taken the time to see it, this might sound familiar as well. The humor in this movie, and it is damn funny, comes mostly from how absurd racial stereotypes really are. The lazy guards at the castle are wearing Spanish conquistador helmets, and then are easily bested by the ancient white masters of Asian martial arts. Those foolish Spaniard. HoHoHo. Xenon Wang has armor from the future and dreadlocks, implying that we need to stop those nefarious Jamaicans from ruling the world of tomorrow and returning with superior weaponry. This film treats stereotypes of all kinds as exactly what they are, absurd and outdated concepts and easy targets for ridicule.<br>I see "Slant eye for the Round eye" as the same thing. And this is allowed because of satirical license. However, this is not a free pass simply based on the color of one's skin. Everyone gets to do it, and we would want to prohibit someones actions simply based on skin color, would we? Tell me if this sounds familiar. Someone looks at the outer appearance of a person or thing, and without TAKING THE TIME TO LOOK CLOSER, he or she makes a harsh judgment. This is called STEREOTYPING, and it is the same lazy thinking that racists, actual racists, use every day. "Big pile of shit" is not a valid judgment because it is made from a position of ignorance. This is why film critics get paid, because no matter how bad the film is, they have to sit through the whole thing, THEN report their findings. If you expect others to see you as an individual and not judge by outward appearances, you should employ the same practice.
