As someone mentioned on the official google blog post about this, there's nothing stopping google using email addresses as OpenIDs as http://username@gmail.com/ is a valid URL. Yahoo already does this. As long as the relying party doesn't require you put in http:// (for some strange reason), then your gmail address will work if Google choose to implement it that way

Basically, it'll be possible to run custom made Linux distributions on the iPhone, meaning developers wouldn't have to hack away to get simple things running on the iPhone, they'd have full access to all the hardware for running apps.
Technically speaking, this could be the first step towards Android on the iPhone, although I'm more interested in a custom distribution of Linux, as it would open up the iPhone greatly. No longer leaving Linux users in the dark for managing their iPhones.

I'm pretty sure Bebo had a contract with Yahoo for ads and AOL had to honour this contract before they can change the ad structure

Actually Facebook doesn't pass any of the data onto the websites. Any data with these new social plugins is pulled directly to your browser from Facebook using Javascript, and the sites using them get no access to the data. You still need to use Facebook Connect to give the sites your information directly.

If Facebook make an app that doesn't crash everytime I try use it, then I'll definitely dump Foursquare for it. Can only usually check in once or twice a day because it just crashes all the other times.

I can't understand how they haven't done some things like proper background notifications, and a notifications page that stays within the app rather than open up a web browser and authenticate you

You have a few good points. As for number 2, an update was just released for Maps with an option to share directions. Screen shots are something that bugs me, I'm not gonna root my Desire just for that, even though it bugs me. And for 1, why not just set up your router to give you a static IP...?

Either way, although I agree with Android's downfalls, I still prefer it over iOS (I had an iPhone 3G before my Desire, and a 2G before that)

No, that's what bad app coding does. The freedom in multitasking allows apps to do more than iOS, and provided it's coded right, battery use is as minimal as iOS 4 multitasking

It is easy though. Just a matter of putting in an iFrame that Facebook will generate for you. Or if you use WordPress, just get one of the many plugins

Awesome! Can't wait for this to make it the Android app. Even though I've never used it... Just waiting for the perfect opportunity :P

Also, it'd be awesome if businesses could Bump in their stores, where I walk in, want to like them on Facebook, or follow on Twitter, so I just walk up and bump a Bump logo or something like that.
