It is! Cacti are succulents too :) It's called a Moon Cactus, but I call it Susan. The other jade-like one is called Linda.

Haha yeah I felt like clarifying after I wrote it that it was "in your honour" because I know it makes you happy when I do those things and I was thinking of you being happy while I did them, not because those are things that moms do.

I remember seeing the jar of pickled lemons when I was there, but I didn't realize Dave made them himself or that the lemons came from Kate and Max's garden! I was in awe of their trees ( and I thought they were limes because they were still green back then): http://tessagoldsmith.com/p...

The really sad thing is that lots of these birds are heading down to the Gulf area now and have no idea about the mess that awaits them. I wonder how many will make it back....

Oooh I've passed that place a million times. We should grab lunch there sometime.

I don't know the name of my place, but it's a vietnamese hole-in-the-wall on Jean Talon West across from Athena Park. The cross street is Bloomfield. They have a great vegetarian sub for $2.50 that's shredded carrot, cilantro, and salty garlic dressing on baguette. Add a spring roll for 50 cents. :)
