This prevents blocking based on specific technologies that aren't allowed. For example, the solution does not require the use of Javascript or Flash which often trigger ISP blocks.

Second, Return Path offers a Certification product that offers preferred delivery at more than 1.8 billion inboxes. Certification also enables images at both Hotmail and Yahoo!, a key component in making the current video technologies work.

If you'd like to learn more, let me know.

Thanks for the comment!

Re: Return Path Debuts In-Email Video Via Partnership With Liveclicker :: Return Path Blog

Liveclicker is more than animated .gifs, though that is the most widely accepted format.

The genius of Liveclicker is that it automatically recognizes and sends the RIGHT video asset that is compatible with the email client the subscriber is using. Therefore, no extensive testing or creative resources are required as in the past which created a barrier for video-in email marketing. It very much simplifies the process.

Plus, it allows marketers to focus on testing the video content, without worrying if they got the technical aspects write for delivery and if subscribers will even be able to watch the video.

And you are right, you can use Liveclicker on your own and it works great that way. It just works better with Return Path Certification because of the enhanced delivery AND images on (since it’s a gif). We also offer consulting services to help clients maximize their return on the investment with this technology.

If you want to learn more let me know.

Thanks for the comment!

Re: Ready to join the good guys at the center of the email universe? It's true that Yahoo! is also a large sender of email and that spammers use their network for bad purposes. We aren't at a point we can make an specific announcements, but we are definitely working with many partners on how we can help them with these outbound abuse problems.

Re: The Privileges of Membership (and Performance) :: Return Path Blog

Yes, that is correct. Folks can download it here: http://www.returnpath.net/l...

Interestingly the overall stat is 20% doesn't make it to the inbox, but B2B tends to do worse. Almost 28% of B2B email doesn't get through.

If you have any questions about the report, let me know!

Cheers,
Tami Forman
Return Path

Re: FTC Comfortable with Email Regulatory Progress. Here's how Pew defines each group: Gen Y is 18-32, Gen X is 33-44, Young Boomer is 45-54, Older Boomer is 55-64, Silent Generation is 65-72 and G.I. Generation is 73 and up. If you click through to the report you will see a section called "Generations Explained" has a chart that also includes each generation's percentage of the total population and percentage of the internet population.
