Thanks for the response. I knew from what you had posted that I wouldn't go the whole way, but I couldnt even get it to go through step 1. Yes what happens before pwnage is I get the usb logo, then when I manually reset the phone I get what looks to be a wiped, new phone with 3.0.1 but then I can't restore my Itunes profile. I suppose I could create a new profile in itunes, what are your thoughts on that? Also, the link you posted on the latest version of pwnage says it is for Mac only...since I am a windows user, is there another option? Thanks again for all this help.

OK, I found another version of the firmware from another site and was able to get 3.0.1 to load, but Quickpwn still will not work...same error. Any ideas? I am using windows and the quickpwn app says that it only supports the version 2 software, not version 3. But this is version 2.25 of quickpwn.

Spicy, need help. I was able to put my phone in DFU mode and do the reset, but for some reason quickpwn will not work. It doesn't give me the option to choose which phone model I am using, but it does correctly display a 3G logo on the screen (which is what I have). When I browse to the spot that I have downloaded the 3.0 firmware to, it gives me the following error:

The IPSW file you selected does not match any firmware version QuickPwn supports. Either the IPSW file is corrupted or the firmware version is unsupported.

Incidently, I also could not load 3.0.1 during the restore, it told me it was not a good file. I have tried this 3 times and I think I am following your instructions exactly! Please help.
