This is why I like just leaving comments for people. Its more personal and if someone posts something I like or that I find intriguing or even infuriating, I can be more specific than just "click-heart". And I feel funny reblogging stuff all the time just to say something about that post. Not everyone enables comments though. They're woefully underutilized, in my opinion, so thanks for letting me post one. though, I guess comments don't really serve the purpose you're trying to find. I just think they're more interactive.

So glad you are coming! You don't need to rent a car. Both airports have lines that go directly to the Chicago Loop (Blue Line from O'Hare, Orange line from Midway). Both trains have depots inside the airport. Its great. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart, the train takes you right there! Google Maps also offers awesome directions for public transit. Renting a car will just be so expensive, between parking it everywhere and risking parking tickets (minimum $60 each...I've racked up 5 so far...do the math, ew). Oh man, don't sweat it. I must get unfollowed by someone at least once a week, maybe more. Sometimes people unfollow me and get all crazy ridiculous aggressive about it, like they have to post something about how I suck and that's why they're unfollowing me. It used to bug me, but I stopped caring. Its a website! You're a wonderful person with flesh, blood and a brain, and every one who knows you loves you for who YOU are, not what's on a Tumblr page. In short, screw 'em and think to yourself "I hope they suck on a rusty pipe", but in public, be like a duck - doesn't matter how crazy you spaz under the water, on the surface you are smoooooth as marble and everything rolls right off of your feathers. *mwah*

I used to have amazing radio stations in soCal. when I moved out there in 2002, there were at least 3 independent "rock" stations, and I use the word "rock" in quotes because they didn't just play "rock n roll", but they'd play everything. On Indie 103.1, Henry Rollins was a regular DJ, and Jonsie from the Sex Pistols had a whole 4 hour show each evening. It was amazing. In 2008 it got purchased by a spanish language pop station and is gone forever. The only other good "rock" station (which agian, also played good jazz, hip hop, experimental, and in the evenings, some lo-key techno/tronica) was bought by another Top 40 Clear Channel station (even though literally 3 clicks up the dial was ANOTHER Top 40 Clear Channel station pretending to compete with the new station).

There are some good stations here in Chicagoland, but I fear for their same fate. At least college radio and some NPR local affiliates (like KCRW in SoCal) still play pretty good music, but terrestrial radio really is making it harder and harder to find good new music, especially in large market areas like New York (which got rid of KROQ and a few other classic institutions for again, Spanish language and top 40) and LA.

They're eggs, silly! :) Tamago is a Japanese omelette. Its soft and ever so slightly sweet. Very tasty!!

Also I heard your band rocks out! A friend of mine was at the Rochester tumblrup and said you totally kicked ass!
