I think the best point of this podcast was the statement that Tebow is the Matt Elrod of football. He's not all that great at the game, yet he stays around by winning in some random way that nobody likes. Best comparison ever.

I actually totally agree with you guys on the comment that Brendan and Rachel are much less annoying on the live feeds. I was just thinking this yesterday (although to be fair I don't watch the live feeds...I only watch Showtime After Dark for a little while each day). I never thought I'd say it, but they're actually MORE tolerable over long periods of time than in the short TV doses. I'd almost go so far as to say they seem pretty normal! Very strange.

So I know this was somewhat of a small point in the podcast, but in reference to Jeff convincing Jane to stay in the challenge, I remember that a similar thing happened in the final immunity challenge of All-Stars. After Jenna lost, it was down to Rob and Amber and Rob almost let Amber win, but Probst talked for a bit and Rob stayed. Definitely not the same thing (in that he just sorta asked Rob what he was doing, rather then yelling at him and demanding he continue), but similar result.

Just realized I didn't mention that Ragan has also written books, according to his blog. One is a poetry book. A Ragan poetry segment might be cool...although that would require a financial investment for a Big Brother podcast and I can't imagine you guys would want to do that.

If you visit http://foxinthecity.libsyn...., you'll be able to see his 355-episode, 5-year-strong podcast. It's pretty much the most vulgar thing you'll ever hear. He also has a blog, http://ragan.wordpress.com/, which, for the record, is less vulgar.

Yeah, the whole jury members pre-merge thing is pretty lame. Mostly I don't like it because of the nine-person jury/final-three setup, which is a much worse Survivor change than the hidden immunity idol.

So I just wanted to say that I have never actually watched an episode of this season's Celebrity Apprentice (I mean seriously, 2 hours? Come on.), but I have listened to each of the Celebrity Apprentice podcasts. Honestly, I feel like it's a one or the other deal. I don't think I could take three hours of Celebrity Apprentice-related content a week...

Rob Has A Podcast: Better than the Real Celebrity Apprentice. New tagline? Potentially. Complimentary? Meh.

Also, I've always liked Summer. Olympian turned children's game show host = fantastic.

Nah I didn't think that. In listening to Joann and Stacy in the last few minutes, they sound like really cool people. I was writing tongue-in-cheek, but reading over my comment now I'm noticing that it does not sound even remotely like that...so yeah. Sorry about that! (Seriously...no backpedaling here...definitely my bad!) Wish I could go back and edit that.

Ha, if you Survivor podcasters didn't have such long podcasts, it'd be awesome to listen to them all. ;-) I'm definitely not complaining, though!

Glad to hear from Lex on this. I just listened to the cast commentary from All-Stars, and Lex was obviously still pretty hurt by B-Rob when that was recorded (sidenote: Rob, the one on this podcast, was hands down the best cast commentator on the series, although I thought it was really funny that Boston Rob tried to tell everyone what to say). It was good to hear how he feels about watching Rob this season.

Second thing. I just checked on iTunes, and sadly it looks like you guys don't have the highest-ranked Survivor podcast. There's some other one ranked about #95, unfortunately. I never listened to it, but I can't imagine it'd be as good as your show. However, I think the factor that is making the difference is that they do castoff interviews (again, I never listened to that podcast before, but I just looked at it right now, and it seems like that's probably significant in their popularity). I'm pulling for you guys!

Perry Noble talked about this at one of the Unleash 2010 sessions for a bit. Most interesting to me was when he said something to the effect of, "Don't sit there and think to yourself, 'My senior pastor knows I've got his back.' He doesn't. Tell him."

My guess is that they're lowering the charge because, in their perspective, a 17-year-old girl sending a picture of herself naked to her boyfriend is different from a 45-year-old man taking pictures of young girls and distributing them online. While both are certainly wrong, in the eyes of the law one should be prosecuted more strongly. Again, though, both are wrong.

And I agree that states should find better punishments for those that are convicted, but I'm wondering if this should fall more into the parenting-punishment domain than the government-punishment realm.
