I think you could add a note right after that second describe block, explaining that it needs to be a child of the first one, to make beforeEach and afterEach relevant to the tests.

FYI: My goal is to set this up, and than do the same using MongoDB instead of PGSQL, just to learn how to do it.

Other Mocha noob here... That describe() thing had me going for hours... Removed Postgres, reinstalled, checked the tutorial from top to bottom again. Wished I had read the comments first :D

Just a quick note about Laravel 5.5: It handles the X-CSRF-TOKEN differently for axios, using the meta tag: let token = document.head.querySelector('meta[name="csrf-token"]');
So this section in layouts/app.blade.php is missing. For the purpose of this tutorial I had to manually add it.

For me, on Latavel 5.5, virtually every test run before fixing the relationship returned "Argument #2 (No Value) of PHPUnit_Framework_Assert::assertCount() must be a countable or traversable".

So for me, using this test to build my favorites doesn't work step by step. I just have to know to do everything up to the relationship, and then I will get green. Did stuff change in 5.5?

Never mind, I found out that "/** @test */" is required right before the function for it to be considered a test.

Learned something new today... Back to lesson 14...

I started this series a couple of days ago, using Laravel 5.5. I noticed that, in some cases, such as `a_user_can_filter_threads_by_any_username` from lesson 14, I get all green when running "vendor/bin/phpunit", but when running "vendor/bin/phpunit --filter a_user_can_filter_threads_by_any_username" I get "No tests executed!".

@Jeff Can you check if all tests are really executed when running phpunit? We might believe that it's all green, while some tests are not run...

Edit: I tried testing "ReadThreadsTest", in which I count 7 assertions, and the test succeeds with "OK (4 tests, 5 assertions)". So it looks green, but 2 assertions are missing...

I can tell you, collin1, that for some time I, as Surinamese, was afraid that Guyana would surpass Suriname with development. Now Bouterse is president, I have more faith that both countries will develop at the same pace, hand in hand, like it should always have been.

Misschien is dat toch wat wij nodig hebben... Op dit moment is het er zo burocratisch en iedereen weet het beter, zodat processen te lang duren om op gang te komen.

Geen dictator, maar wel iemand die er op staat dat kortere wegen bewandeld worden.

Thanks voor jouw reactie Moeki. Ik denk dat je een aantal goede punten aanhaalt.

In plaats van feesten en kabaal te maken, begin me te vertellen WAT de plannen zijn, en HOE ze uitgevoerd zullen worden. Want dat mis ik bij de meesten. Front gaat ervan uit dat ze 10 jaar hebben bewezen dat ze het kunnen, dus het is niet belangrijk om die informatie door te geven.

Ik vraag me trouwens af: Hoe zou Kishan het ervaren als A-combinatie om 6 uur 's middags in zijn buurt met zo een truck zou rondrijden met zware kaw'na erop, waar een paar mannen "A-Combinasie a bali' wan odi" zouden staan gillen... Dan ligt oma net te dutten, en kleintje van 2 ligt te wriemelen in bed...

Voor ik iets doe, vooral van dat kaliber, denk ik altijd eerst: "Hoe zou IK het ervaren als iemand anders hetzelfde zou doen?" Zodra ik het als iet wat negatief zou ervaren, is het dus niet iets waar ik een ander aan wil blootstellen! Wish VHP could think the same...

Graag! VLAGGEN langs de weg zijn voor mij irritatie punt. Het is opgevallen door de front vlaggen die IK ben tegen gekomen, maar als er andere vlaggen zijn, zie ik graag foto's van.

Edit: Misschien kun je de volgende keer met een andere naam dan "Gast" jouw commentaar plaatsen.

Bedankt voor de reakties guys...

Iemand maakte laatst de opmerking dat de meeste NDP vlaggen bij oude krotten en bouwvallige woningen te zien waren. "Dat kan je al een idee geven wat voor soort mensen er in de achterban van de NDP zitten..."

Ik dacht bij mezelf: "Als NPS sympathisant moet je je schamen om zo een opmerking te maken, want dat houdt in dat al die minder bedeelden de hoop in de rest (inclusief NPS) heeft opgegeven en in de NDP de laatste bron van verandering ziet! Als de NDP zo slecht is, in jou ogen, zou dat je juist bezorgd moeten maken dan proberen een fatu op de NDP te breken!"

Maar ja, nu begrijp ik waarom die vlaggen langs die weg staan: NPS profileert zich waarschijnlijk als "rijke partij" (of zo doen de sympathisanten het overkomen tenminste), dus maar op een weg die naar een "elite buurt" leidt!

I didn't have any trouble with Gmail today. I've been mailing constantly, without interruption. I did notice the Twitter delays though. But I think that's because f the whole race for 1 million ordeal.

I disagree. If you found something interesting through someone else, it's a courtesy to give credit to that person for bringing that info to your attention. You're just saying "@xyz pointed me to this information that I found useful and want to share with the rest of you".

Lots of people I follow constantly tweet, but I only retweet stuff that I find interesting enough to share. Then, it doesn't matter if you're @richrecruiter or the guy with only 10 followers!

On the other hand, I do believe that it IS being abused by many for ass kissing. But that doesn't mean it is.

Ow, by the way, IMO, about 75 - 90% of what's being spread around the web is unoriginal. I, for instance, find your name very unoriginal. But... taste differs.
