Too bad that the development team decided to ignore the almost 18 years of publications and backstory to implement their own rendition of the Shadowrun universe. If it was necessary to set the game in the future (or past, depending on your point of view) of 2031, there are plenty of cannon events that would provide plenty of gameplay. For example the Eurowars or the rise of the Ghoul Nation of Asamando, the formation of the UCAS and the nanosecond buyout. Any of these examples could be used as a backdrop and storyline for this game.
Also, it is worth noting that the game has been hacked to run on Windows XP, although I cannot attest to the game quality, nor the hardware required.

The last time I saw "Fallout" and "Microsoft" together in the same line was the remarkably bad Brotherhood of Steel title (affectionately known by fans as PoS). I wonder at the coincidence.

I think that we have moved pretty much all of our stuff out of our old digs. I hope to come back this weekend for the last couple of boxes. It's a shame that I can only take two or three at a time on the bus. If you happen to find a stuffed iguana anywhere in the apartment, please let my friend know. He seems really upset about misplacing it and has his shaking fits more often. Finally, just a reminder about the brown stain on the ceiling in the back closet ... it was there when we moved in and neither of us knows what causes it. When the smell starts up the best thing that you can do is to lock a couple of deodorizer boxes inside of the closet for about a week.

My guess is that Aztlan is simply redistributing troops in order to make a surprise assault on an unsuspecting target (Yucatan, anyone?). The gods know Aztlan has been fighting on too many fronts forever to make any serious headway. I mean look at it this way: if you spread your team out all over the ice, you're never going to be able to take any shots on goal, and without that you just can't win.
As far as the Manitou business goes, as long as the headline is speaking about the NA tribe and not the type of ghost, it could mean lucrative contracts for smuggling groups, if I recall correctly. On the downside, I bet you would need to break out your micro-cell thermal underwear to survive anywhere in that block of ice up there.

On a side note, what do you guys make of those technofreaks that are coming out of the woodwork? I heard that they can override elevator security or turn your 'ware against you with just their minds. Gods, I hope that this is just another boogyman story like the cyberzombie scare ten years ago...
