I'll say, the best - easiest - cheapest way to market yourself or your small business is to have a blog or website and use internet tools like linkedIn &amp;amp; twitter (just like you said)... and it's amazing how many negative reactions I get from people when I mention this. I find some people get it, but many people don't. What about being green? When I was renting in San Francisco I had to literally break my windows (and lie about it) just to get those antiques replaced with some modern energy efficient windows. Landlords have no real incentive to green-up their properties since it's not cost effective, even in tree hugging California.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I don't have *any* female friends who don't want to own (if only so they can decorate) but still... it's really a control thing.
