And as for the suggestions from followers, not every one has hundreds of followers with ever useful suggestions. Sooner or later, every company out there is going to embrace twitter and follow public time line for key words and spam us with self-promoting ads [Guy Kawasaki does a similar thing for AllTop.com - http://blog.guykawasaki.com...] And still, Google might eventually serve the ads on twitter. Who knows?!

And how on earth can twitter replace e-mail? May be it can replace IM. But e-mail? Of course, even Eric Schmidt once described twitter as poor man's email [http://blogs.reuters.com/me...]
I use them both - but for entirely different purposes.

Re: HOW TO: Get the Most Out of Gmail Labs

HOW TO: Get the Most Out of Gmail Labs?!

Just visit http://lifehacker.com/tag/g...

Re: Microsoft Encarta Officially Succumbs to Wikipedia

Wikipedia FTW! RIP Encarta!

But seriously, Encarta is no match for Wikipedia. Some English users may disagree. But when it comes to languages like Hindi, Telugu and Tamil, forget Encarta. Wikipedia is often the only source of information. Of course, factual correctness is always an issue with Wikipedia. I usually double check the information with other sources.

Re: Last.fm Temporarily Backs Down from International Subscription Fees

Some one suggested listen.grooveshark.com on the earlier article and it is fine. But now its seems to have a more sophisticated model than either of them.

Pedigree is great. But I wonder if people are ready rely on a website to take advise regarding tough decisions for which, as mentioned in the post, Hunch works better, than with trivial matters, Of course, people have, for long, relied on forums and groups for the very things Hunch now seems to provide assistance for. And I guess Hunch can be a big hit if it can provide the same functionalities of those forums and groups.

Re: China: Tibet Video is Fake, But We’ll Block Entire YouTube Anyway

Ha! I was disappointed seeing that I still have the same old home page even today!

Also, I wish the news feed settings can be fine tuned further. I mean, like being able to block certain type of updates from certain users like, say, photos from a fan page.

[Case in the point is Masable's fanpage - while I'm really a big fan of Mashable, I'm not exactly interested in "Pete's Totally Awesome Album".]

Re: Twitter Brand Sponsors: Mashable’s New Sociable Ad Format

I think you've hit the Jack-Pot, guys!
